Title: Need stupid advice
Post by: Gaymo, the Hobbit on June 20, 2006, 07:33:31 PM
ok here it goes. guns n roses is my life. football is my life.
i have tickets for graspop on saturday, but then i will miss two matches on saturday: germany vs. sweden (i live in germany), and probably argentina vs. mexiko (i'm argentina fan).

so i don't know what the fuck to do. go to the show or watch the games? world cup in germany won't be here for probably the next 50 years or so, but i might regret not going to the show afterwards

what would u do?

Are you kidding Brownstone!!!? GO TO THE FUCKING GIG!!!

Football can be recorded and watched later. And wouldn't you rather have a fun night out, see GUNS N' FUCKIN' ROSES, get pissed out of your skull, and go home with a hot chick!?

Sounds better than staying home and watching a bunch of men run around kicking a ball to each other on a TV methinks!

Go out and PARTY with a bunch of other Gn'R fans dude!! Partyin's always more fun than watchin' TV. TV is mostly boring and a bunch of shit! Go see Guns N' Roses dude!!

tape the games. go see gnr

and i'm assuming graspop is a festival, therefore will be showing the games on giant screens.

Well, at least you know that you (living in Germany) will beat Sweden. I'm heads and tails about whether to skip work for England's quarter final; at the end of the day, if there is any part of me that bthinks that we'll lose, then there is no way that I am misng it..................

this is pretty sounds advice...you never know when gnr will be back around your parts..but if you already saw them this tour....hmmm, depends on how much you like soccer....IMO a live event is always better than a televised one : ok: now if you had a shot at seeing the soccer match live or the concert live....then that would be a toughie :hihi:

Go see Guns! We (Sweden) are gonna kick your ass anyway, so there's no point for you to watch that game..
Ok, just kidding. I have no idea who's gonna win, and I honestly don't care, but I still think you should see Guns N' Roses.
Like some other people said, you can always tape the game.

If I were you, I'd go see the Guns. If the games are being shown on t.v, get someone to tape it for you. That way you can see both.  ;D

Let me check the Monkeychow life guide book:

Rule #1: GNR takes priority over everything except sex
Rule #2: Always play GNR while fucking

LMAO :hihi:

actually I think i've always broken rule #2, that's sad....but no sadder than this post in general LMAO

Anyways...if i were you i'd tape the footy, go see GNF'R, try and avoid seeing anyone, no radio, no news, then kick back with the DVR/VCR/DVD whatever and watch the footy pretending its live!!

yes i think i might just go to the show. and i am more worrying about the argentina game that i might miss (in case we don't lose today). well, they'll just have to beat the crap out of mexico without me.

It's a 2nd round game against a poor side, you won't miss much

Go to the show, tape the games, don't listen to the radio or anything that would give any who won, arrive from the concert and watch the games pretending they're live and everybody wins :peace:! Or you could stay home, do every I said above minus see the greatest fucking band in the universe!!! It's your choise but if it were me I'd see gnr? : ok:.

Tapingstuff is hard cause someone will always spoil the score.

Personally Id go see GNR

Although considering how late Axl comes on, maybe u would get to see the game and the concert.

I think this is a nobrainer.

Go see GNR.

I could see if it were the final match for the CUP or something, but its not like this is the last match Germany will play.

Sweden dont have a chance against Germany.

If you had tickets to the games, it would be a close call (and I would have to question how sober you were when you bought football and GNR tickets for the same fuckin day) , but missing a GNR gig just to watch it on TV....no no no.

Besides, you KNOW another World Cup will take place in 4 years, but with GNR's shows...it's a different story... :hihi:
