Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: alexh0618 on January 31, 2006, 09:31:44 PM Hopefully it won't be as bad as the Zakk Wylde or Dimebag Wah.
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: erose on February 01, 2006, 12:20:16 PM nice, too bad i just got a new one.... oh well, they only last a year or two anyway so...
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: MR W,AXL ROSE on February 04, 2006, 12:38:56 AM why do they only last a year or two?
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: MeanBone on February 04, 2006, 05:44:42 AM i might just get that one. or a an old school Vox... Vox still seems the best choice tho...
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: Skeba on February 04, 2006, 05:55:55 AM From what I've played Vox has good wahs...
Morleys are ok too, but although they have a bypass, it eats a lot of the signal for some reason. Though so did the vox wah I played too.. But not as much. If someone has the money, I really recommend going for something that's really well configurable and has a true bypass. Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: erose on February 04, 2006, 09:16:35 AM why do they only last a year or two? because stepping on them wears'em out plain and simple...i'm on my second wha now, and my first one wore out after a year of use. :-\ Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: AdZ on February 04, 2006, 09:55:49 AM Come again? That's insane, mine's lasted 3 so far..
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: erose on February 04, 2006, 11:58:45 AM seriousely.. I had a dunlop cry baby and it lasted a little over a year, i tried to take it back, but the guy said it's a common problem with wha pedals, they don't last nearly as long as one might think... i've asked several other music store people aswell, and they all say that they last a year or two...
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: MR W,AXL ROSE on February 04, 2006, 04:41:08 PM i suppose its all about how enthusiastic you are with the pedal.ill jus be using mine in the house so im hopin itll last a lot longer than a year. :peace:
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: Genesis on February 05, 2006, 05:49:37 AM Dunlop sucks. Vox rules.
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: AXL 20 on February 05, 2006, 01:14:01 PM Dunlop sucks. Vox rules. that only proves why more top musicians including slash use dunlop wah's than voxes ::) Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: Genesis on February 05, 2006, 01:28:46 PM that only proves why more top musicians including slash use dunlop wah's than voxes Slash uses Dunlop on stage, coz he endorses Dunlop. I don't think he uses the same effects in the studio. As for top musicians, Vox was used by Jimi Hendrix and is used by Eric Clapton, to name a few. Is Slash better than them? Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: erose on February 05, 2006, 06:54:53 PM guys, lets not make this into a vox vs. dunlop thread ok?! :hihi:
Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: Johnny Rattlesnake on February 07, 2006, 11:22:22 AM Maybe Hendrix and Clapton would have used a Dunlop Wah; but I don't think Dunlop was around at the same time as Hendrix.

Is Slash better than them? i dont think clapton is better than slash and hendrix is in his own category since he reinvented guitar. if you dont know what he uses in the studion dont second guess. I read he uses the rack wah for both. And i dont recall saying vox sucks. And could whoever said it please explain to me how Hendrix being better at the guitar than Slash (which incidentally, he's not, but never mind) makes Vox Wahs better. Please explain to me how a players ability affects the quality of the electronic components? I suppose Fender Stratocasters are also the best guitars in the world? I disagree with ur statement that Slash is better than Hendrix, but anyway u're right about a players ability not affecting the effects they use. I own a Vox V847 Wah. Since opinions differ, there's no way to agree if Vox or Dunlop is better. I prefer Vox. However, Harmony-Central score for Vox V847: 9 Nothing from Dunlop even comes close.... Slash used a Geoffrey Teese RMC Wah in the Sweet Child video Where in the video do they show him using the wah? ??? Title: Re: SLASH SIGNATURE WAH Post by: Johnny Rattlesnake on February 09, 2006, 10:58:57 AM So why isn't this new pedal in the Dunlop website?
