Ive asked so many times about this but noone ever responds. What is it and how do you join or whatever?

I tried once, but am too fick to understand how it works, so now it is just lying all dusty somewhere in my C:drive...

the GNR HUB is a place where you share and download GNR media files (such as videos and mp3s), and chat with GNR fans all around the world.



download the client here:

- double-click the file and install it.
- go to FILE --> SETTINGS --> enter all your info there, such as nickname, email, ...
- go to SHARING --> set 2 or more upload slots and add all folder you want to share! (PLEASE ONLY GNR STUFF). 1 GB of GNR - 2 upload slots required.
- go to FILE --> PUBLIC HUBS and connect to: hub.newgnr.com
ok that's it. you're in the hub then. enjoy it!

Another problem though.
I downloaded it and i have the file on my computer, but when i click it nothing happens.
Anyone know how to get this working??

Where it says manual connect, type in    hub.newgnr.com     and it should connect to the right place

But i cant even open it. I click on the file to install it and nothing happens.  

Oh.  You can try dowloading the program from the official site below, see if that works but it should be the same as from the link on the site.

The first download worked after. I just needed to restart my computer apparantly.

Okay, I've downloaded the client, installed it and everything, but I just don't have 1 GB of GN'R media to go on the hub, I'm running a crappy old computer at the moment, it's entire hard drive is only around 4 gigs.

Is there no other way I can join? I only actually want to join so I can get some of the Leeds Festival songs as they've all disappeared off KaZaA

I dont think you can. They are pretty strict about their rules and stuff. I keep getting banned but i dont know why.

I tried a long time ago as well and never ever figured it out. But i tried again recently and it was very easy and well worth it. You can get like every gnr bootleg possible on it.

No, he is a dictator. I should know, i work for him. And the one gig rule isnt extremly strict - if ur sharing about 3/4 of a gig of good gn'r (not just the albums in WAV) then usually u'll be fine.

Nah, it's a great place and you can get almost anything GN'R there. Everyone should join, it's really easy.

Just out of curiosity, did you have the Leeds Festival performance shared on KaZaA a while back? I'm sure I recognised your username when I was downloading them.

I can't seem to find them anywhere now, I've got about a third of SCOM, half of Paradise City and about 30 seconds of Madagascar, but no one seems to have them anymore.

That was the only reason I wanted to join the hub as I was at Leeds and wanted the performance as a souvenir.

Yeah. i was one of the first to share Leeds so u probably got it from me - but its not on my HD anymore - but i'll probably stick it back on cos its popular. There are still a few people with Leeds in the hub, but most have had to burn it cos of all the north american videos. Once everyone has all of them the cream will rise to the top and only the good stuff will be shared, so keep checking.

Nice one, I've seen other sites selling Leeds, but it was poor quality, some guy standing in the crowd shakily holding the camera.

I'll hang on until it turns up on KaZaA again as my HD is only 4 gigs (7 year old comp...) and I'm supposed to be using it for work.

ye the hub is great. I have some files from leeds that i could put on kazaa if you want scone.  I really advise freeing some space in your comp. The hub is the best.

You may be intersted to hear that at the moment you dont have to have a gig. But thats only gonna last a couple more days. check her out tho.

What sort of rules does The Hub have?  For example, could I share the VCDs of the Rock in Rio 3 show (as far as copyrights and that sort of thing)?  Just trying to find some way to meet the min 1gig to get on.

I think so since the RIR3 VCD is a bootleg.....

So non-bootlegged material is not allowed?  Also... I don't think the RIR3 is a bootleg, since there's a DirecTV logo in the corner, and you can clearly see all the camera men moving around the stage... still think it's okay?  (I really want to hit that 1 g!)

RIR3 was never officially released by GN'R so I guess that makes it a bootleg. :)

RIR3 is a bootleg, every version has been recorded from the television or online.

And u can share anything to do with gn'r to get the one gig. That includes snakepit stuff and it includes buckethead stuff. Nine Inch Nails stuff would be pushing it, but as long as it isnt there for long and u replace it with stuff you d/l it should be fine.

The only rule about getting into the hub is that u need one gig of gn'r. There are rules once u get in, but u'll learn them once ur in.

U've got to wait for a slot to become free. Go into ur d/l queue, right click on the file and go to search for alternates. That'll bring up other sources from which to download.

Seriously....I am a member of this hub and it fucking rules...of course, its just an infant in comparison to gnrhub...but that's why I am writing.  All you need is 15 megs of shit....15 megs.  That's 2-4 files.  That's it.  And, its not just limited to GnR.  If you want to post some hacked/cracked video games or movies, go for it.  There's no limit to what can be hosted.  The them is GnR, of course, but you will not be banned if you have other shit as well.  Just give it a try.  Head to www.neo-modus.com and download the client, type in a username...connect to buckethead.myip.org, and have a ball.  Look for me.  Pdj79.  The more people to come, the more there is to share.  Its all up to you.  If you have been burned by Sladdi's hub, try this one...I think you will like it.  The future holds the key....are you willing to take it?

New hub just opened its address is gnrnation.no-ip.info its a gnr hub, and u must share at least 1 gig of gnr stuff.

it's 1024 megabytes. You're gonna do well to make it up from songs, but about 2/3's of any guns show in video format (easily gotten from kazaa) will do it.

go to settings-sharing-add folder (your share files)- after that you should see the gigs you share

well go t setting an do your stuff according to the faq

if you manually conncet you will prolly get the mainchat and userlist up

tell if you get the userlist up, it's the list that has names and amount of gigabytes pr user

right click on a user- geti file list and check out the list and work your way down

some will get a wall when you try get file list whick mean you can't dl from  thats user, move on

after you made your dwnload quoue, you can searcr for alternates (also have auto seracg for alt. at you settng)

and then after you made your download quoue, go to sleep and your hardrive will be full b4 you notice : ok:

have you gotten filelists?

also use caps on each word Guns Roses, that wrks sometimes 4 me, chose which hub, amount, type etc

it's better to searcg frm people's filelist instead since the search only shows what files the users have insde the hub at the time...

What do you mean : the files that are in your share? If that's your question, then the answer is no.

Yes. I mean, i can't save my files into Cd because i still have a prehistoric Pc so i am a little paranoid thinking that a person could erase my files by mistake instead of downloading them.

No worries. You have more chance of losing them because of a computer crash or a virus than because of a person on the hub  ;D

I love the hub - I was able to download 99.9% of every GNR show ever recorded.  I had to buy an external hard drive to hold all of the shows.  Before downloading the shows, I varified everyone by checking the set list and dates with www.gnrontour.com.  It took forever to do it, but it's one hell of a collection.  They are all in MP3 format. 

Please let me know if anybody is intrested in a show.

I was also able to download a bunch of the bootleg box sets.
