they should cut one guitar solo and let tommy take a solo with "without a view" or "light of day"- tommy's solo stuff is amazing and it would give axl a break as well as expose that amazing cd to alot more people.  the people writing the reviews would like it more than a guitar solo.  Tommy would probably love doing it.  It would sound great.

The song Motivation rocks and has Fortus on guitar. They should play that one -would fit in the setlist just fine. It is a rockin Stonesy/New York Dolls type tune. They don't need any more ballads! :beer:

That is a great idea. Tommy's album is bloody amazing and he should have a chance to shine and not be pushed out by the guitarists.

i was thinkin ballad only because of the vibe the fink/fortus solo briings with beautiful....its kinda a cool moment in the show where it just calms down a bit..... plus he could be on accoustic and do it alone and kinda hang out and sing with the crowd... but...motivation does rock! and would be cool to see!

you know what... that is a great idea.  Duff did it when he sang Attitude during the Illusions tour.  Axl can have his break and the crowd doesn't have to be extremely bored. 

i thought about it earlier today myself... and how good would tommy's songs sound with the whole band behind him? :drool:

I love this idea! Thougt about myself. It would rock! Please play less solos gnr!!! A solo song frpm Tommy and maybe richard or robin could sing  dust n bones and 14years??? Rather that than solos it so fucking boring!!!

there's no reason to cut the solos all together.. need a couple... just thought there's more interisting things to do for axl to take a break... cant blame the guy for needing a little break here and there.  Instrumentals instead of solos would be cool also like the little jams they were doing.

I think it would be great to let Tommy play Motivation while Axl catches his breath.

yeah.. and bass solos are so much better and cooler than guitar solos

Tommy is cool, he's my favorite member of the new guns besides axl.he's like a kid in a sweet store on stage, he's great!!

I was never into solos really, it's just filler to avoid playing more songs..

same here...i love this whole band, but tommy and axl just work so well together that their great to watch, and tommys my favorite member of the band, but i have to say they all work together beautifully

forget his solo stuff. they should play bastards of young, here comes a regular or sadly beautiful.

Besides, there are so many solos and jams, it could easily fit in there...

axl tommy and brain are my favorite gunners at the moment, they play so well and together

as big of a 'mats fan as i am, i think this would be a terrible idea. while i'm sure the GNR could do a great version, doing replacements/primus/NIN material would just make them seem more like a mishmash cover band IMO. a solo tommy song is a different story to me. for one, only hardcore tommy fans would know it, and two, he did the record since he's been in GNR.

Tommy and Axl should just do 'So Fine.'  I know, I know, Axl does have to have his breaks.  But it would be cool as hell and would never fucking happen.  It would just be nice to have a different song to listen to instead of the same ones that they have been playing.

I'd like to hear some of Tommy's solo material live, but I am a fan of the members' solos in general. I'm personally not too keen on dead silence, and that seems to be the logical alternative if those spots weren't in the set.
