Title: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: Electric Sintar on June 09, 2006, 08:57:33 AM Looks like Farm Aid is actually going to be held in Philly this year (Early Fall). I know someone started a thread last year about "what if" GnR played at Farm Aid in Chicago, but that was when nothing was happening. Now that they are doing all kinds of shows and festivals, I think it would be great if this ended up being their return to Philly!! Here's hoping anyway!!

Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: Electric Sintar on June 09, 2006, 10:23:12 AM I heard it on WMMR yesterday, but they said they are just nailing down the last few deatils.
As far as being accepted, I really think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. I doubt they just never play here again. It is a major stop on any U.S. tour, but I guess we'll see... Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: sjgotnitro on June 09, 2006, 10:24:44 AM That would rock.

Like Electric Sintar said the anti-AXL is blown up by some local radio hosts who have personal grudges. I think most of Philly are disappointed / hurt about 2002 - But would accept with open arms Axl and band when they returned to Philly. Most people say they would like to know why the cancellation happened - because no official statement came out from Axl some blame him......but we are know there was alot involved with that and Axl did not cancel to say F*ck You Philly. So hopefully people can move on - I did! Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: sjgotnitro on June 09, 2006, 12:17:53 PM Would Axl be accepted by the majority of the public there? When, not if they they comeback it will be sold out and it will be awsome and I'm sure axl will have some stuff to say. He is a wiser smarter happier guy this time around.? : ok: :peace: I know for one I will be there Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: CAFC Nick on June 09, 2006, 02:16:07 PM Sorry to ask...but what the fuck is farm aid?
Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: PhillyRiot on June 09, 2006, 02:50:49 PM I don't think there is much chance of the materializing.
Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: The New Fiona Apple on June 09, 2006, 04:17:57 PM Hmmm, I would sure hope so. What would be better is GNR playing Trenton.

What would be better is GNR playing Trenton. Not to be picky, but it would actually be Camden (The Tweeter Center), and not Trenton, but not much difference.. Title: Re: Farm Aid '06 in Philly Post by: CheapJon on June 09, 2006, 07:45:46 PM it would been cool if they played farm aid again.. and the song playing should of course be down on the farm.. but that will never happen even if you should never say never when it comes to gn'r :hihi:
