the web site says tickets will be from 350-430 kronas, yet the tickets will be unnumbered? ??? what am i supposed to do on thursday, order the cheaper ones because it doesn't matter anyway? anyone know this? :confused: ???

There are three price classes:

455 kr (430+25): The floor (unnumbered) and the best seats, which are on the long side on the first floor (numbered)

415 kr (390+25):  Seats on the short side on the first floor, and on the lower parts of the long side on the second floor (row 1-15).

375 kr (350+25): Seats on the short side on floor 2 and on the upper parts of the long side on the same floor.

Is ticnet.se the only way to book tickets? I don't live in Sweeden, and they don't deliver tickets outside of Sweeden. Any suggestions? Maybe there are other pages where I could book tickets?

You can register there no matter what country you live in, so it's weird if they can't send out the tickets for the show.

I think it's better contact the call center for informations before..I'll try to call on day 9... ;)

I even tried booking them with by Norwegian card, didnt work  :P

When I called them, only tickets at the C-section was left. Didnt buy those.

I think it's more than that. Don't forget the floor. As for a hockey game, the capacity is 13.850. Sure, some sections are closed when it's a concert but then the floor has a capacity of 1-3000?

Sent a mail to Gunnar Eide Concerts in Norway regarding this (how quick it sold out), trying to make them understand how easy it would be for them to book GN'R here too... :)

I guess it depends on the arena/ concert. I've seen some concerts where security was more than willing to let you go from seated sections to GA, and some where it was the total opposite...In some concerts, they don't even check...

I sure hope its not possible to climb down to the standing area..... I don't wanna be squeezed in front of the stage there.
I'm sure the pressure will be hard enough as it is.

Does anyone know if there are several "sections" in the standing area btw?
I mean, like in big arena shows, you get braclets or something if you are in the front section.

Last week i watched The Darkness in Scandinavium, Gothenburg.

I just asked a guard if it was alright to enter the standing section (Me and my friends had seats).
She checked my ticket and my face with a flashlight, then with a smile, she said it was alright. That?s what I like!!  :hihi: :rofl:

What a nice guard! I'm gonna ask if i can enter the standing section too, and if he/she says no, I'm gonna try to do it anyway :P

I got mine after a few days. Think they sent them on a Thursday or Friday, got them on Tuesday.
They send it registered, so it shouldnt be a problem.
You can check how far the mail has gotten now, check your email from biljettnu.

Wasn't the tickets released at 9 swedish time? And perhaps that minute actually was three minutes, but felt shorter (come on, we're talking about tickets to a GN'R show here...) but if it really was only one minute, then you should have been able to buy two floor tickets...  weird.  :-\

B19 is on the short side on the second floor (not the best ones...) Why? Do you have other, better tickets you can buy?

There is a fence all the way around except for four or five places, and those places are guarded. I guess you could "charm" your way down though (worth a try, right?  ;))

Considering that we have two opening bands the best guess is that the first opener will start at 19.30. Otherwise we'll be in for a loooong night.

Maybe something like this:

23.00 - ?? Guns N' Roses

Yeah, I guess it is...BUT, we're talking about Axl Rose now :)

IF the first opener goes on at 19.30 there is NO WAY that GN'R will be on by 21.00. And with two opening bands, I find it hard to see that GN'R will be on stage at 22.00 if the first opener starts 19.30.


Edit to add: I've now sent an E-mail to EMA. I'll let you know when I get a reply!

The doors usually open one hour before, so it should be around 18.30.

I agree; if the first opener hit the stage around 7.30 and play for like a half an hour the next support won't be on stage til 8.30-9.00 since the set-change at least requires half an hour. And since the GN'R set-change probably is far more extended and, of course, Axl is Axl - I think we can expect they hit the stage round 10.30 or more likely 11.00... Luckily (for us attending) I guess there?s no fireworks-show in Stockholm this time (last time in Stockholm Axl delayed the show to watch the final of the fireworks-champs)...  :beer:

I saw this TV special from when they played in Globen in 93, and they had like a barricade so the fans who got there first got really good places inside the barricade. Anyone knows if it will be something like that this time?

Does anyone know about the possibilities of smoking in the Globe arena? Are there smoke rooms or is it possible to step outside to smoke and be let in again?

Well, you probably know that you are not allowed to smoke in any indoor public areas in Sweden anymore, but like you said, they have a place where you can go outside and then be let in again. It used to be entrance 6, but now I don't know. Just ask someone when you get there.

After a friend of mine (badis) noticed that people that were going to the gnr concert in globen wanted to go to an afterparty, me and my friend started checking things out. We have contacted a bar regarding an after party, checking out the possibility to have one. As it seems at this point, there are just about 40 people that has expressed their positive feelings about this.

The idea of this thread is to gather up the people that want/would want to join up with the rest of us and have a hell of an afterparty!

yes you will have a good time, don't see the problem. See the band now they won't be around forever. I have fond memories of the shows I've been to. NEVER pass up a chance to see GNR, no matter what lineup is playing. You won't regret going trust me.

I'm sure is interested, but I've been waiting so long for afterpartieplans to come around since I've live out of town. For now I've got other travel arrangements to go down to Roskilde. But I'd like to stop by if it's possible :beer:

Does anyone know if the ones first in line get a wristband or something, so they can stay up front all the time?
I mean, if parts of the standing area is divided in smaller parts. If people come in a bit late, there is still a chance of getting all the way to the front of the stage?

I remember when they played Valle Hovin in Oslo in 93, I got a wristband, and we got to be up front (more or less) all the time. But then again, that was an arena.
If its not nececerry for this show, I see no point in standing in line waaaay before the band gets on stage.

You don't get any wristband. I emailed Globen and they said first in up front. There's no sections so the floor is one big section.

All that bullshit about how Axl needs oxygen after every song should stop now..They played at least 4-5 songs before he left the stage and that was only for a minute or so.
I was actually surprised by Thal`s playing.I have never heard any of his stuff before but he really showed last night what an amazing guitarist he is.He was enjoying the gig too,you could see it in his face.Fortus kicked ass too,he was rockin`out big time..I am a little disappointed in Robin Finck.His playing was so weird,i mean when he did his solos it sounded like he was trying to start on some song or something but then stopped and started on something else and stopped again..Never got it going really..Maybe that`s his style,i don`t know but it sure sounded weird.

What can I say about the show... It was just amazing.

It was my fifth show on this tour and it's really hard to pick a favorite since all of them have been different from each other.

First one was a festival in Lisbon (great show, special because it was the first time I saw this band), London (amazing, they played in a small venue which happens to be one of my favorite venues), Dublin (playing in the sunlight!), Donington (having all kinds of problems and then overcmong those and kicking ass) and now Stockholm (indoors in the place where I saw my first ever rock concert (GN'R) in 1991).


Anyway, I got there early and saw both opening acts. I really didn't like any of them at the previous shows but I never paid too much attention to them at those shows. So I tried to see how these guys were doing even though the music's not for me. They had the energy which I guess is a plus if you wanna be popular among kids.

Avenged Sevenfold played a cover of Pantera's "Walk" which seemed to get the most cheering from the crowd.


Before GN'R came on I told my friends there'd be pyro during the show so they wouldn't be too scared. ;)

When the intro started people knew all the worries about GN'R not showing up were just that, worries. When the first notes of Welcome To The Jungle were played, the place went nuts! It was so great to see a packed Globe Arena into the show.

As the great showman he is, Axl tells the crowd before the last singalong during Knockin' On Heaven's Door that he doesn't think we can be any louder. What do you think happened?


At one point he asks people to take a step back because there's people at the front who are getting hurt.

The funniest part of the show was Dizzy playing S.O.S by ABBA in his solo. It was Sweden, it worked and the crowd loved it!

One thing this indoor arena show made me notice is the great lights they have. You really can't see the light show outdoors in the sunlight. ;)


I read some reviews of the show the day after and I just don't get it. According to them, nobody cares about this band. While the media's current favorite artists are playing in some clubs in front of 50 drooling music journalists. It's also amusing to read certain Swedish music journalists label Axl a has-been and then the same paper uses pages and pages of their valuable space on Axl's adventures in Stockholm. Pretty good for a "has-been".  ::)


Anyway, amazing show and a great crowd! It was nice to see some of you there.  : ok:
