Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Hey all,

Ok, since I plan on receiving these discs around Friday, I thought I'd lay out some quick distribution details.  Keep in mind this is all presuming that I actually RECEIVE the discs on Friday.

A. Each of the 8 discs will be ripped to my PC - and packaged as 2 Disc RARS.  (Figuring about 8GB per show)

B. Copies of those ripped images will then be burnt to blanks - I plan on getting at least 6 or 7 copies run over the weekend and shipped off by Monday (6 or 7 sets is the minimum.. I'll burn off as many as I have time for).  If you want copies and I don't have your mailing address, PLEASE get in touch with me.  But do NOT PM me..  PMs tend to get lost in the shuffle.  email me at darknemus@gmail.com - that way I get your email sent to my phone as well as my PC.  We'll work out the details via email.

C. The initial seeding of the shows will be done on PC Tracker.  I'm hoping to find someone who will seed at gunsnroses.us as well.  If possible, we'll also have them seeded on dime - but that's obviously dependent on the shows.. (like, no IRS demo in the menus, for instance)

D. ONCE you get your copies of the shows, I would love your help to get them to other people.  I've bought 200 blank DVDs for this occasion - but remember, we're talking about 8 discs per set.. not to mention the time factor.  The more help, the better.

E. If you've got something rare that you're hoarding.. do the right thing.  Share it with the fans.  This goes for EVERYONE.  If everyone who's hoarding would just add one piece of their 'oh so rare' collection to the proverbial 'kitty' we'd all benefit greatly.  Please think about that?  As a personal request from me?  I never hoarded IRS... I could have, but I didn't.  I ask that you try the same thing, for a change :)

Absolutely.  For the record, I am not in any way saying to people "hey, get them from me, paypal me and I'll ship em!!!".  By all means, grab em from one of the trackers.  In fact, that makes my life EASIER as its less dupes I have to run :) 

I'm just offering the shipping thing as a convenience / another distribution method.

For those who know there way around on the newsgroups, they will also be posted there.
The file names and the goupname will be posted here at the time they will be uploaded.

Newsgroups is THE fast way to get them.
The dvd's will be rarred into about 95 files of 50mb for each dvd.
And will come with a +/- 10% par2 repair set.

Damned fine idea. I have so many issues with Torrents it isn't funny. People will be able to get it quicker as well so spreading via b+p will be easier in the end.

I got my copy of the 17th show today ( only one I ordered). Just got home from work to find it so haven't had a chance to check it out - but they are on the way :) Probably got mine early because I live a couple of zipcodes away from the seller. Will try to help out with distribution.

Anyone up for sending my poor Native ass a set of the DVD's?

ok, I've just scanned through it but from what I've seen I'm not overly impressed. The audio seems decent, and there are some nice shots but there's also a large proportion of time with head blockages, and lens adjustments (maybe security ducks) and it was kind of frustrating. This is just a scan through but the problems are still there in Nightrain (though there are some really good Izzy shots too.) Not sure why they would include so many blockages with the 2-cam shot......

Ok, please don't take this the wrong way, but this is what I meant about sharing what's hoarded.

If you have something that's 'rare' - what's the point of sitting on it?  As bait for more?  You're damn well not gonna get HOB or the VMA rehearsals for some random interviews, so why not share the stuff?

If you're not willing to share it - then why mention you even have it?  Because then you're going to get people asking you for it.. which, trust me, can be a pain in the ass.

If you have something rare either let your balls drop a bit and liberate it to the masses or don't even mention you have it.  All you're doing is playing cocktease, which no one likes..(well, for the most part - some exceptions apply.. but I digress)

By the way, this isn't directed solely towards you - its more just a general rant.. so please don't take it personally.

I would also be happy to help with seeding and leave my PC on for a week or whatever so help people get faster access to these shows.

I would love a set of the DVD's, unfortunately, I have nothing to offer that isnt allready available to download from the internet domain. Having said that, I would be more than happy to send blank discs plus the money for post and packaging.? I cannot use torrents though so counts me out on that front...

In addition I would also include 5 x the amount of blank discs required for others to use and distribute to the fans.. Finally I whole heartedly agree with the sentiments of Darknemus regarding those hoarders out there not prepared to trade unless they receive a veil of Axl's blood in exchange for their 'ultra rare never before heard 15 second clip'.

Oh, and should I be fortunate enough to get this trade going with Darknemus would be more than happy to burn sets for distribution around the UK.... :beer:

Received May 17th DVD's: as purchased on Ebay, can anyone say G-A-R-B-A-G-E? I can't believe I paid for this crap

Yea I read that as well and I was considering forking over money for these and am kinda glad I didn't.? Some other guy on Ebay is now hawking the 17th show for 20 a pop from California and every time he lists one it sells right away.? I am curious to know what the other shows are like, I am mainly interested in the 14th since that is the 1st night I was there and I was there for the 17th too but now that I read it looks bad, well, I dunno. :-\

I believe from reading the other forum that this is the version that the guy in NY is sending out from Ebay.  I am still unclear if it is a 2 camera mix, just that it is shaky and somewhat blocked. 

I got mine from the NY guy on ebay. There are definitely 2 camera angles on mine, but it sounds like mine is the same as the crappy one described above though I still haven't had a chance to watch much of it. Seems like the second camera got much better footage but most of what I saw was the first camera with all the heads and motion sickness stuff - maybe the second camera filmer didn't get much of the show?

OK, I think I finally have dime figured out (uhh, I just needed client software apparently)  and can seed there if someone is going to upload to there since I leave this thing on day and night anyway and have a decent cable connection or direct me to where it is to be uploaded and I will get an account there.

If a torrent comes out I can see it (ie-leaving my computer online all night & part of the day for awhile). Been doing that with Rio 5 for everyone.

As soon as you upload to a torrent I will start downloading and seed as long as needed....

Also I have been burning dvds for like 2 years now and willing to help distribute if needed...

I just have a question though,

When you receive these DVD's will you instantly put them on the trackers or will you wait to send out the shows to a bunch of people so we can all seed and make the distribution process easier? And if it is like this when do you think the shows will actually hit the general public?

A couple quick things, then the answer to your question :)

A. If you've sent me an email in the last 12 hours or so - don't panic that I haven't responded.  I plan on replying to all pending emails here in the next few hours.

B. If I get the discs today as opposed to tomorrow I'll begin duplication immediately with the goal of at least getting some copies mailed out tomorrow & Saturday.

Now, to answer your question:

Although I'm not 100% decided.. I *THINK* what I'm going to do is, when I get the shows, begin to seed at least the 12th over on PCTracker.  I've got 768kbps upstream so it should go relatively fast.  I'll still have two available PCs here I can burn from if I do that.  I'm going to leave seeding distro of the 14th, 15th, & 17th up to others.  This way everyone can at least get something quickly and also allows for a good spread of distribution through all the other channels we're using.

Just watched 2 songs and it is pretty good. A few heads in the way in some shots and his logo in the corner, other than that the quality is around a B.

out of interest how long does each dvd take to copy my machine is 20+mins per disc so all 4 shows nearly 3 hours i just dont have enough time in a day :no:

Well, I've got 3 burners ready to go.  1 4x, 1 8x, and one that does 16x I believe.  In addition, I've got a friend who is gonna help me, and I am pretty sure his is an 8x as well.  On AVERAGE, it should take me about an hour per 8 disc set to run copies.. might be slightly less / more, depending on how much data's on each disc and all that.

FYI, I just spoke with gnr2006 on the phone.  The 17th will be seeded tonight (more than likely dual seeders).  Total length of the two discs is about 4.6 GB or so, apparently (no idea why the seller didn't put it on one disc.. but whatever).

Don't expect it online until at least 9PM or so Eastern time, though.. just giving you a heads up.

i'd say sometime between 9-10 pm EST tonight they will be seeded

I haven't watched them, because i got them from someone on another board who met me while i was at work, so if i watch them, it will be even longer before everyone gets them.

with mininova it may take time, i always encounter this problem when a "busy"torrent such as this is first put up on there.

Yea messed up the links, plus they are delayed.  I have them seeding let me know if they start.  I hate using public sites but the others are giving me problems.

well depending if there is no other problems it should be starting within a hour or two. i keep getting a tracker error but soon it SHOULD kick in. i would let it go and check back in a bit to see if any progress was made.

met up with GNR2006 earlier, got the DVDs, uploaded and they are in seed mode. So yeah, tis is great stuff for all the fans, I didnt even take time to watch it all , I did take a sneek peek at better and and a few otehr tracks.And the quality is pretty damn good, sometimes  alil shaky but definitly great sound, and since I was on the rail on the left side, I could actually pinpoint myself.lol, BUT yeah let the sharing begin!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people will find ANYTHING to complain about.  I just got cursed out on dime in private message due to someone's complaining about the uploading of the DVDs so I kindly pasted it to the public messages.  My GOD this was done for free and within one day, these people who did this deserve nothing but thanks. 

Yeah man, people like you and I, we understand these shows aren't "Exclusives" for us to parade around, they are merely shows for fans to rock out to. I listed the boards in the info file that helped me get the show, cuz i think that's fair. But this isn't about "rainX" or "dark" it's about all the fucking fans of this band who've waited so long for this. I couldn't wait one extra second to seed this show!

I've also sent an inquiry to the seller about buying the masters.. as apparently the video quality on these is not what it should be.. so we'll see what happens with that.

sorry if this may not be the right place, but how can you increase your upload speed?  is it through your bandwidth, and if so how do you increase that.  for the last couple months i am only being able to seed at around 15 kbps?

the only way as far as i know is to call your ISP and have them upgrade your plan, which will cost more $$$ too.

I have the same issue you do, my DL is going fast and my upload remains at 15 and I don't think there is much I can do about it.

Do you have DSL? Your download will be much faster than your upload (by definition almost) - also remeber that ISPs generally measure speeds in kiloBITS/second whereas almost every net app measures it in kiloBYTES/second. So, for example, if your ISP says your upload speed is 128kilobits/s, you have to divide that number by 8 to get 16 Kilobytes/second which is what Dime will measure your speed as. 128kilobits/s is a common DSL speed, so that may explain your 15 Kilobytes/second.

When verizon dsl increased my max possible upload speed to 768 kilobits/second they didn't tell people - you had to find out somehow and then contact them for the free upgrade, so it's always worth contacting your ISP and you may get lucky.

Ummm, as fast as I can burn.. I just got home a few minutes ago and I'm currently decrypting the 14th for seeding.  Then I'll break out the laptop and the External Burner in addition to this PC and begin the production line.

Just a quick update for those asking me when I'll be shipping out.

I'll be shipping at LEAST 16 copies out Monday.  My actual high end target is 20, but I'm saying 16 just to play it safe.  Suffice to say I'll be going in reverse chronological order from when I got your mailing address.  That means the earlier I received it, the earlier I'll be shipping your discs.  I'll be doing daily shipments for at least the first week, so don't panic if I don't get yours out Monday - it will more than likely be out in the next day or two after.

I'm burning as fast as I can and stuffing envelopes :) - Patience is a virtue, and all that.

I am a bit wary of torrents (on a couple of fronts).  I'm still considering joining PC Tracker, but I tend to get into things very methodically...so it's not going to be a quick process if I do ultimately decide to do torrents.

EDIT: Read a bit on Wikipedia.  Seems complicated.  :confused:

They can be a little difficult but if you can handle rar and par files, it is also a much faster option for downloading (depending on your ISP) and you are not connected to anyone else's computer which is what I am assuming you are wary of for obvious reason.? BTW, you guess one reason.  The other is that I am unsure whether it would work as I think my ISP uses a proxy which supposedly can cause issues, and I've read that for some reason my ISP doesn't really let it's users use torrents.  I guess it's an overall network security thing for them or something.

Well, I guess you wouldn't know unless you tried to use them.  As for the newsgroups I would say it took me months to really fully understand the concept of them but I have been using them for many years now and they are great for finding just about anything if you know where to look.  Good luck with whatever you try though! :yes:

par files are just an easy way of "fixing" a set of files that have been corrupted or missing data.  the par files are made from the complete error-free set, so once you DL the rar archive you can use the par files that go with it to check that set and repair if necessary

I just watched almost the entire May 12 DVD last night and it's excellent overall. Jungle and It's So Easy might have well not even been taped for how bad they are but the rest of it is pretty good.

The sound is great and the picture is good. I could really do without the "NYC Bitch Commitee" thing in the corner and the "Support The Filmers" bullshit popping up every so often but other then that, no complaints. The second one really pissed me off for 2 reasons. 1) I was drinking alot and 2) because I know these guys made a KILLING off of this so they have nothing to bitch about.

I'm gonna make my way through the other shows throughout the week but I'm more then satisfied w/ the first one so far. I made it to "There Was A Time" before I ended up needing to pass out from the whiskey so I'll finish the show today and post again if there's anything outstanding to look for.

That wasn't intentional.. lol.  I actually was in the middle of a shutdown / reboot when you IM'ed me.  :)

I'm almost finished downloading one of the shows I wasn't at (practicing for when I find/figure out how to use a newsgroup for my show).  How exactly does one go about "seeding" something?  Do I just leave my computer on or do I leave bittorrent running/open?  I am way new to this whole torrent thing.

My computer is on all the time, except for random reboots when software updates come out.  I use a mac, if it makes a difference.

I tried reading the FAQ's on one of the torrent sites, but ended up more confused afterwards

now, im pretty new at torrent stuff too, but when you finish a download, i think it starts seeding from your computer until you click finish or exit your bittorrent.

if u close torrent and then wish to open and torrent again, i think u right click the download and click seed.

All of them have real crappy parts, blocked camera, shaky camera, out of focus camera, etc.

All of them have some good parts.

12th: Great, but the end is damaged. There is some real ugly audio and video problems during the last 2 songs. There are some AWESOME close ups, very clear.
17th: Also great. 2 camera angles. Izzy is a bonus.

I posted a bunch of screen captures from these over the weekend, look for the thread, think it's on page 2.

Go for the 17th just because it has Izzy.  They are all shaky quality with good and bad parts pretty much.

I'm hearing from people now who have started to get their sets.  I'll be doing some more shipping out Thursday - can't tomorrow due to work schedule.

Not to jump on the bandwaggon, but I dropped Darknemus $30.00 I have had 2 seperate emails 'BOTH REPLIES' firstly telling me that he wasnt sure if my shipment was ever sent, (even though because of my donation i was promised mine would be burned in the 1st shipment). Then another email explaining that mine was being shipped out in the 'next' batch, that was well over a month ago...

Now, I am not dogging the guy, I believe he offered what he did in good faith, but producing 8 x dvd's to 50+ people (maybe more) was always going to be a tough ask for anyone, let alone someone with full-time commitments. I wouldnt want to do it, but then again I wouldn't have promised people I could!

Now something should be considered when people argue and say it was only $20.00 or $30.00 individually paid. However if 50 people donated @ $20.00 then that's a fair amount of money based upon a $80.00 investment...

Still fingers crossed the guy comes good and sends the stuff out to people that paid in good faith....

I agree with Axlsmainman.  I met Darknemus May 12th at Mustang Harrys at the pre-party.  He's a nice guy and has done alot of great things in the GNR community.  Plenty of folks have gotten the dvds already, and the rest of us should just wait patiently.

I think it's more the fact that people sent him money to help with these and then he doesn't even send a return email.  He may be busy but it only takes a second.

Yeah, I never got my copy from Dark either. I even gave him a 15 dollar "donation" to help pay for all this. The worst part is that I was there on the 15th front row......any one have that show.

Its now been 2 months since I sent my $30.00 donation to Dark.... Didnt receive anything and whilst pissed off that a fellow gunner can rip off another (that's what he has done, forget the bullshit apologists out there) You have to move on and learn. I will drop Duffsangel a message and hope that she can help me out a fellow UK fan.

He sent a few hundred DVD's out, then was sent on the road (overseas) for work. His priorities changed for a short time due to a company merger. The last DVD hasn't been sent, but when he is up to his eyes in real world problems, the cyber world shit hits the back burner.

Guys, my PC had a meltdown this weekend(on the Mrs.' now) and my external containing the 4 Hammerstein shows got destroyed.  The USB cable got tangled in the wheel of my wheelchair and the drive smashed to the floor.  These 4 shows are very special to me, as I was at all four.  If someone could please help me out by sending me the DVD's, I'd be eternally grateful.  I'll send back blanks, or whatever it is that is the norm.

So how much money did he get anyway. I contacted hiim within minutes of his first post, announcing that he'd make us all copies. He promtly replied back that I'd be first and I cold donate a few bucks if I wanted. I sent $15 via paypal, but that looks like less than a lot fo people sent. (BTW, he never responded ot other emails weeks and months later.) I thought about doing a charge back on paypal, but decided not to just on the off chance that one day he'd send them.
I do have to send a shoutout to one member on the boards here who made copies of  two shows for me and shipped them days later. Real cool.

The thing about filing complaints with PayPal is that you can be granted a refund but if that person has no funds in their PayPal account you still get nothing and then PayPal closes the complaint.

I am curious as to who is the owner of the PayPal account though since Dark hasn't logged on over here since July.

I wish you guys luck though in getting your $$$ back as this was a terrible thing to do on his part!

I signed up at the beginning and hoped to get something, although I was dubious  it would happen. It never happened, and I guess I was just naive to believe that it would. So many times good intentions go bad, for whatever  reason. I ended up buying directly from the taper for $80 on ebay but at least  I got the shows.

We should all file disputes on the transactions before time runs out.  I think they have a 180 day rule or something to that effect.  We'd be bound to win or at least force communication with him.  I don't even want the damn DVDs.  I want my money back.

I think the one he's insulting should be the one getting banned.

Anyone who still hasn't received the DVDs should definitely file a dispute with PayPal before time runs out.  No use waiting anymore for this guy. I think the way PayPal runs disputes now is that at 1st it opens communication with the so called seller and you have a set amount of time to escalate it to a claim.  He will probably stand to lose his PayPal account for this. 

Don't sit around waiting for this guy.  There are plenty of us here who will help you out with the DVDs if you still need copies.  Myself included.

I agree with you, but I also maintain that I'm not sure if the apology and refund would change anything.  It's almost at the point where it's just not worth thinking about anymore, because an apology and a refund seem distantly impossible. 

There's no right way to handle this - I think you're correct about not banning him just yet.  That gives the situation an opportunity to pan out. The only downfall is the lack of closure for those that lost in this situation.

Either way could be wrong or right. I'm not to judge.

dark has barely been online in the past few months. The dude has been insanely busy with work. His job requires him to travel all over the place.

He'll make it right for everyone - he's not one to dick anyone over on purpose.

Ripoff merchants always seem to follow the same gameplan - they have plenty of time when they're getting something out of it (money, discs, receiving trades etc), send some copies out so they have allies and there is some ambiguity, and then mysteriously acquire such a busy schedule that they can't even find 30 seconds in several months to post that they are too busy.

A few seconds to post a "hi, i'm not a ripoff artist, I'm really sorry but I'll send all your money back" message is not that difficult, is it?

Besides, he logged in to post that he would attend a show in the US...

I just read this entire thread and for those of you who put faith in darknemus need to wake up.

He claimed he never had any interest in gnfr.com however, whenever it would suddenly have an update, darknemus appeared to "let us know he had this feeling that it would update" and then try and coincide it and connect it to the GNR world when it had NO association to GNR whatsoever.

Also, he scammed a lot of people in the LatigoHammers chat room thing years ago.  Jarmo knows of this.  A lot of us at that point knew dark's credibility was not to be trusted.

Sorry for all those who got ripped off by this clown.   That is uncool.  But at least now you will be able to spot the signs of a person who lacks credibility.

Long story made short:

Dark gets people into a chat room to solve the riddles appearing on that GNFR site.

A person claiming to be Axl appears in the chat room.

Dark still tries to tell people it really is Axl after it's been confirmed that the person is a fraud (http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/news/shownews.php?newsid=655).

This guy also posted on several GN'R boards before the above letter was issued.

In addition to this, Darknemus was telling people he had proof this really was Axl. Something about meeting Axl's "girlfriend" in Florida.

Not to turn this completely off topic, but to me it seemed at the time like the guy was trying really hard to make people believe that this person was Axl. Then he just started claiming he was fooled like everybody else.

Wishful thinking but I tend to believe he just used the money to further his Spiderman action figure collection he has there and didn't feel like copying any more DVDs.  It's nearly impossible to prosecute internet related crimes.  I think at this point we just need everyone who still hasn't received anything to speak up and the rest of us here can help you out with the copies.

Craig was not behind the gnfr/Latigo bullshit. What's your proof? I was in that chatroom for the whole ride, and I saw nothing that makes me think he was the mastermind. As I said earlier, the woman who was the mastermind behind it is currently in jail in Finland as far as I know on unrelated charges. Whether its true or not, or whether she just wanted to get away from it I don't know, and I'll probably never know for sure, but stop placing it all on Craig's head when he got fooled just like the rest of us.

Look I'm not looking to make excuses for him, but I wouldn't be back in here to explain myself either. You guys started on him well before there should have even been an issue. Most of you guys had a hair across your ass when you found out you weren't the first person to recieve a DVD and he wasn't sending out tracking info so you could watch your package in transit.

I agree that it is frustrating that it has gone on this long (especially with money involved), but why would you expect him to pop in here to get flamed?

BREAKING NEWS:  I have been REFUNDED in full by the owner of the PayPal account (Dark's girlfriend I believe).  I had been in email correspodence with her.  If you sent money and recieved nothing, you can obtain her email address form your PayPal transactions.  Give her all the information including date sent, your PayPal email address, and transaction number and see what happens.  For me, I have now been fully refunded and am now owed nothing by Darknemus.  I hope everyone else can get refunded and we can close the door on this matter.  Good luck everybody!!!!   :peace:

Like I said, I'm not making excuses for why you guys didn't recieve these or why it has taken so long. All I was saying is he began getting attacked by people when they found out they didn't recieve their DVD's in the first shipment, why would he come back? Warchild - Craig was never going to film the Hammerstein shows in the first place. Merck jumped down his throat for no reason. All Craig had on him at the Hammerstein shows was a digital camera, and I think he even put it back in his hotel room before the show started to begin with.

With the memory available he could have gotten 30 second snipits if anything, he would have never gotten an entire show recorded.
If Merck was aware the second he was in the building that he had such a device why wasn't it confiscated, the tickets said right on them "No Cameras or Recording Devices" Also maybe if they spent less time following Craig they could have nabbed the tapper of the DVD's that caused this whole mess.

If there was such an issue with Craig and the bands management, why were we let into the venue 30 minutes before the door opened? I suppose that was a security measure?

Also for someone who is intent on having people looking out for Craig at the Florida shows, I find it rather funny that you were at the Hammerstein shows but didn't take a few minutes to share your ongoing displeasure with him in person. There was no reason to confront Dark at Hammerstein.  As a matter of fact, that was a time when all bad blood was dismissed on the fact that it was a happy time for GNR fans.  Secondly, was he supposed to confront him about frauding people on the DVD scam, when it hadn't occured yet? Not sure where you're headed with that.

Lastly, if Craig was told by management to stop copying the bootlegs, it would be JUSTIFIABLE and Craig would have no reason whatsoever to have disappeared from the board.  People would respect that and, if the case, Craig would have issued full refunds to everyone to wash his hands of any liability on behalf of Management.

Again I will remind those who recieved nothing to email the owner of the PayPal account you sent money to, give her your PayPal info, and if it checks out she appears to be more than willing to make things right.  She hasn't heard from anyone else besides me, and she did refund my money.  It is really the easiest way to put an end to all this.  She is willing to help, but she needs the info.

Look what I accidentally found!!

I was on the MSN chat board when this all went down.  It was a small group of us, 95% of whom fell for this fraud and furiously defended him to the bitter end.  Myself and a guy named Alex from Greece didn't buy it.  We played along long enough to prove Latigo a fraud, once we had gathered a nice collection of saved chat logs and personal PMs from Latigo, fake photos of Axl as a child, candid photos of Axl that ended up being not-so-candid, and of course Latigo's traced Finnish IP, all of which contributed to his downfall.  Nevertheless, most of the members of the chatroom, with Darknemus at their helm, fought furiously to denounce Alex and I, while Latigo threatened us with "Axlish" insults and swore to call us out on Chinese Democracy's CD sleeve.  Over the course of a few weeks, as word began to spread across other message boards, it became laughable for anyone to continue to believe his shit. 

Now...let's talk about the heart of deceipt.  It wasn?t that long ago that darknemus was complicit in the very organization of this little stunt.  Let?s recap:

Darknemus claimed to personally have extended conversations with Axl on the phone and on the internet.  Axl, known as ?Latigo? on the GNFNR message board, was a man who posted from a Finnish IP address (darknemus claimed Axl bought a laptop from Finland and used Michael Monroe?s IP, even after Monroe had recently said in an interview that the new GNR ?sucked?).  Latigo also spoke Dutch fluently in chat (wow, Axl speaks Dutch?) and tended to forget critical facts such as Buckethead?s real name and which hand he (Axl) favored, claiming he we left-handed when in reality Axl smokes right-handed, plays guitar right-handed, punches right-handed (St. Louis riot), and best of all, he WRITES right-handed (signing autographs).  But hey, he sings left-handed sometimes!!!  Darknemus was also good friends with another fictitious Rose acquaintance, ?Cookie?, Axl?s make-believe fianc? who worked in a bar in Florida.  He claimed to have went to her house and saw pictures of her and Axl, who were engaged to be married, yet she mysteriously had a thing for darknemus and flirted with him (boy Axl must have been jealous).  In fact, Axl couldn?t break away from his visits to Finland to come and see his to-be wife personally, so she spent New Years with darknemus and they chatted with Axl on the phone (cough*bullshit*cough). 

To make a long story short, when everyone caught on that this was a fraud, darknemus played like he was duped by this liar named Latigo, hoping everyone would forget the fact that he claimed to have talked personally with Axl on a regular basis, talked with Axl?s sister on the phone, met Axl?s girlfriend and went to her house on a regular basis, saw pictures of Axl & Cookie together at her house, and swapped personal candid photographs with Axl from his personal photo collection, among many other complicit lies.  In fact, almost everything about this scam came directly through darknemus?, yet he tries to this day to play innocent, while he continues to post lies about his make-believe ?contacts?.  Let's not forget the infamous "contact" who snuck him into a Florida radio studio at 2:00 AM in the morning, so as to secretely overhear a few higher-ups roll a Chinese Democracy demo while Darknemus crouched behind a desk holding his breath....and you can't imagine how many many people believe him to this day.

Take it as you will.  How 'bout them "fake insiders"?

I vaguely remember the Cookie bullshit.. I read the sites back in the day, but never posted (internet was too scary for the parents to let me do something like that at the time).  What a fucking con artist.  This guy probably hasn't made an honest comment in all of the years that he participated on these boards.

On a 2nd note, I'm willing to bet that the guy is sitting at his fucking computer every day reading the comments people make about him.  He doesn't need to log in for that.

Biff Tannen Unveiled

Today (Shit.com) central office received an anonymous email saying that "Biff Tannen" had been reported to Merck Mercuriadis, Guns n Roses manager.
After a little investigating the Shit.com team uncovered the details of the events surrounding the IRS leak and contacted the relevant parties.

"Biff Tannen" asked me to pass on the following message:

"Hey there, darknemus here. AKA Biff Tannen. Yes, I'm the infamous 'Biff Tannen. However, it seems like there's been some.. misconception of my role in all of this. Allow me to lay out a timeline for you, shall I? I received the file on Saturday during the morning, my time, with a request that it not be shared. I agreed. Within the next three hours after doing some of my own digging, I managed to get the same file from two different people. I was pretty intrigued by this, since it wasn't supposed to be out there, or so I was told.

Anyway, then I get an email in my gmail box (same one everyone seems to have gotten) with the same file, yet AGAIN, but this time in wav format. At that point I make the decision that, what the hell, others might as well be able to listen to what I'm listening to.

I never made any attempt to hide my IP addresses or anything similiar. I'm not the person that 'leaked' the file, although I'm sure I can be blamed for getting it into a wider distribution. The Biff Tannen thing was me, well, trying to get a bit of a chuckle out of most of you. It worked for the most part.

Bottom line is, I'm as big a fan as anyone of you - I think IRS is a great track, even given the cruddy quality we've heard it in.

Pretty much all of my friends knew I was Biff, and hell, I even dropped some pretty major hints in mygnr posts. Still can't believe you didn't pick up on the "You know that new sound you've been looking for? Well listen to this!" - Sorry, I thought that was a dead giveaway.

For the record, No, I don't have any more tracks. No, I don't have a demo CD. No, I don't have some secret connection to the batcave. I'm just a fan who's happy that, for the moment anyway, we all seem like we're back on a common front - Waiting for GNR to ascend back to the top of the Musicverse.

Shit.com would also like to unveil that Sanctuary's "informer" was none other than the infamous "Latigo Hammers" who terrorised the Guns n Roses fan site, Here Today Gone to Hell, pretending to be the band's lead singer W. Axl Rose - which eventually led to a "cease and decist" being issued by Sanctuary Music Group.

As a fan of the band, and someone who has watched very closely as the whole series of events have unfolded I hope that the Guns n Roses fans and management can put this "leak" behind them and appreciate that no harm has been done, and no action needs to be taken.
