It equates to about $700, U.S., which is more than I would pay for a machine with those specs, over here. But not MUCH more, considering it's a prebuilt rack system. Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: Where is Hassan Nasrallah ? on June 01, 2006, 12:08:53 PM 30 year warranty ?

Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: Butch Français on June 01, 2006, 05:15:23 PM buy a good one.
Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: chineseblues on June 01, 2006, 05:29:25 PM Its not really that good considering its only got a 2.2 gig processor. My old 3 gig processor was about $900 canadian and that included a dvd burner, 19inch screen etc..
Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: SLCPUNK on June 01, 2006, 05:33:53 PM 30 year warranty ? For a second I was thinking "Is this guy buying a roof or a computer?" That's a lot of hard drive, man! My old 2001 Dell I'm on right now only has 40 gigs. :crying: 2.2 GHZ isn't bad but you could do better, in fact a lot better to be honest. I like the idea of having such a huge hard drive but the other specs are just kinda average.
Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: Where is Hassan Nasrallah ? on June 02, 2006, 08:15:27 AM yeah you'll buy a external hard drive afterwards, no need such a big one in the system.
Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: jazjme on June 03, 2006, 02:55:04 AM 30 year warranty ? Havent even read all the thread, but I thought the same that was funny shit! on topic Getta fell, have one built sepcifically for what you want! For a second I was thinking "Is this guy buying a roof or a computer?" Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: Krispy Kreme on June 05, 2006, 12:25:56 AM Too expensive. You can buy a loaded machine now for less than $500 from Dell, which is about 250 pounds, or thereabouts. A 30 year warranty is ridiculous and meaningless. Most people replace their computers every 3-4 years. At most.
Title: Re: Help With Buying a New PC Please Post by: estranged.1098 on June 05, 2006, 01:46:50 AM The Athlon 64 3400+ is a wonderful processor.
What do you plan to use that system for anyway? If you'd like to run games on it you should check out the video card (you didn't list any). As far as the price go it's difficult to say since we have a different currency here. Also if you plan to transfer vhs to DVD you need an input for that on your graphic card. What I'd do is contact a company and tell them what you need and ask a few sets of examples and choose from there. |
