I haven't got a scanner, but they basically said something along the lines of unless you were 16 when Guns first emerged or are drunk, Axl sounds like a has-been trying to re-create former glories.

I sure as hell hope that Kerrang go to Hammersmith next week and get their asses whipped.

Just read it myself, no scan though. Not very complimentary really, said he pulled off the oldies as well as ever and the new songs sounded surprisingly good and the other musicians were surprisingly talented but basically he's resurrecting something that burned out long ago and unless GNR were your fav band when you were 16 or really drunk you probably wouldn't care about this new band.

So he said Axl pulled off the old songs well, the new band was talented, and the new songs were good yet they gave a bad review? Wow  ::)

You have to read to see what I mean and maybe you still won't agree, they said all this about the oldies, the band and the new songs and only gave it a rating of 3/5 which is a 'fair' show on their scale. They basically said he was a nostalgia act at this time and most people wouldn't give a shit until the album came out, they said Axl looked like an albino predator with the corn rows and plastically rearranged face. If they were talking about me I wouldn't think they were being too complimentary, which is what I said, I never said it was a bad review.

I was like 5-7 when AFD was big so... the writer is wrong already.  I do agree they won't reach the popularity they once had.  There is no more Mtv, and the country loves Rap.

Kerrang didn't like the show.  Seems like there were about 3700 GnR fans every night at the Hammerstein shows who wholeheartedly disagree with them

Check out this little song called "Get In The Ring" ;D

Well, what a strange review. Good players, songs well played, good new tunes, but still they said it sucked ?

I guess I'm another of those 16 year old kid who was drunk when GN'R came out : ok:

Well, aren't we all ?
