Title: Has anyone actually seen the Hammerstein DVDs yet?
Post by: irgspice on May 31, 2006, 01:30:07 PM
I am aware that Darknemus and others pitched-in to acquire copies from a seller (on eBay?) and will ultimately torrent the files.  Just wondering where we are in the process.  I'm enjoying the RIO show again and again, but would love to see Hammerstein on video.

I checked and that seller on Ebay is no longer a registered user and that has me a little bit worried! :o

So I went and bought an external DVD burner in hopes that I can figure out how the heck to use torrents.

I've heard from the seller who is positive they will ship out by this weekend / next Monday at the latest.  A few more than 10 days, but that's ok.. I can deal.

Ok, thank you for the update, Dark.  I recall someone once noting that the seller is not a rapid-responder, so I guess the delay should be expected.  In any event, if it's anywhere near the quality of the 2002 MSG show it will be a great DVD.

Dunno, took him about 12 hours to respond to my email or so - but it was sent last night at like 11:30 PM.

I'm having a hard time w/ pctracker.  I have to login by checking my PMs, then I don't see any relevant torrents.  Can someone help a brother out here?

I am still hunting for video of the Hammerstein shows.  Can't seem to get on PCTracker and "the hub" isn't giving me any search results.  Has anyone torrented these yet?  I"m happy to chip in financially if that's required.

A. I didn't contact the seller through ebay nor buy them through there.

B. The seller has been honest, approachable, and repsonsive to any queries I've made.  Therefore, for the moment, I'll take him at his word.  If something changes, then I'll deal with it - but I doubt the guy ran off with the money or something stupid.

too bad you probobly would have them by now... ebay would have been the way to go. you can track them down with paypal or ebay and they would have shipped already... too bad everyone here ran the ebay sellers off ... we might have had them already

Actually if it's the same guy I think it is that darknemus got the DVD's from then there is no worries. ?It may take a bit longer than he says but they will be shipped. ?And ebay isn't the way to go. ?They still would have waited to ship.

The seller did not and will not run off with the money. ?He has been doing this for some time and he's no dummy.

I doubt the others actually had the DVD's.? They were re-sellers more than likely.? That is another reason behind the wait on the DVD's besides the torrents.

Cool.  Glad everyone got a chance to see it.  I wish the filmer could have got more and better shots for the first night.

There was a second seller on Ebay selling them that did accept PayPal but he was in California at least thats where it SAID he was, he sold a ton of the 17th show, I did an advanced search on his closed listings and checked.  I just about have the whole set now thanks to the torrents and the newsgroups.  What I scanned through is not bad at all for an audience recording.   : ok:
