Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Heard a rumour Merck used to play guitar back in the day, used to wear a fast food bucket on his head and a hockey mask (or something similar!). apparently he had to give up guitar to concentrate on some sort of managerial job with a fuckin awesome rock band..... i think they went by the name of........ it's slipped my mind......

Noticed Merck doesn't have a thread on here,  but i was just wondering..... what the fuck does he look like  ???  :hihi: i don't think i've ever seen a picture of him! He was at the shows, so why not a single picture....... unless, no-one knows what he looks like...  : ok:

There's at least one pic of him floating around...I recognized him when I was at the Hammerstein gigs.  I said "Hi Merck!" when he walked by me the first nigh (I was on the barrier in the first row) but he didn't respond to me  :hihi:

He looks like The Highlander from the series. I use to have his pic as my avatar..

The camera cought him a few times during the show last night. You could also see Vanessa and Fernando.

If I recall, he's also only about 4 foot tall, at best. Really short man...

Yeah! That's him!

Merck is short.  Maybe 5'2" or 5'3"? (I'm 6'2" so its hard for me to judge sizes of shorter peeps)  And yes, his head is shaved.  (I stood face to face with him during the Hammerstein show on May 12 so I remember pretty well)

Wow I am soo confused. I swore I saw him two nights. And I even heard one of the venue guys call him Merck and he had hair. Not saying your wrong Dark!! I believe you, just swore it, is all.

Seems Merck has the ability to shape shift his hair.

Yeah Merck has a shaved head......... hes really small aswell, but then again so is Axl. He is touring with the band and accompanies Axl to all the afterparties and is usually with him when he goes out!

It also seems he was responsible for fixing the audio last night.... someone emailed him about how shit the sound was! Thank god for Blackberries

Sure.  I stood one one side of the barrier, he stood on the other.  No big secret.  The guy is easily a foot shorter than me.  Like I said, I'm 6'2".  That was when I also introduced myself (well, AxlGunner got his attention intiially to help me out with that part of it) and shook his hand.

Gotta say, I start to like this guy. I think the whole pre-sale thing is really cool, giving the FANS a chance to see the band and it totally fucked over those scalpers  :peace: Plus, he did give some up-dates. Seems as if he's finally WORKING for the band. In the past year all he did was discredit some rumors and spread new ones, it seemed at times that he himself didn't have a clue on what was going on. let's see how this tour goes to judge him as a manager. Oh, and needless to say, I really liked that Highlander look  ;)

Generally speaking, I've always thought Merck was more of a problem than a solution in regards to Axl moving forward with GNR.? For the most part, he's just seemed about as clueless as the rest of us on all accounts over the years.

Gotta say my opinion on him has improved over the last few months, he seems to have a plan in place and he's got Axl on board to hopefully see it through.?

Final judgement will be withheld when/if CD get's a release date and subsequent strategy for it's potential promotion/success is rolling.
