Title: What type of show do you prefer?
Post by: Krispy Kreme on May 27, 2006, 10:05:08 PM
The '06 shows are coming in at 2 hours plus, with a lot solos. I would prefer a shorter show with fewer solos. Petal to the metal the whole way, no filler. What do you think?

Solos bore the hell out of me, unless it's Buckethead with his kookiness.

Aside from that... No solos, please.

I enjoyed Bumblefoot's.
But there were way too many solos.

fast...perhaps an hour and a bit....so it leaves you gasping for breath and you're not sure what exactly happened, sort of like a hit and run.....but with an encore or double encore : ok: ;)

Firstly - they're not 20 anymore, they're not gonna race through a show.

Secondly - How can anyone not like that finck/fortus 'beautiful' rendition - Classic moment!

@#$%Funker

Would you rather have them rip through a show and Axl's voice is shot for the next concert, or give him a rest between songs so he stays fresh????

I like when Axl mutters and when he does the helium voice makin fun of ppl who criticizes him.
The solos were like whoa what was that? -  heavy drugs  though
Especially the ones Axl sang alone
Kinda made me wonder what the heck were they getting at lool?
Axl even laughed after a while as in? whoa that was maaaaaaad maaad maaadness

I liked the solos, but I don't want too many at the expense of a short setlist, like tonight's show was.  Cut out one or two of the solos, or alternate between shows, but at least hit 20 songs, if not more.

Robin's solos are all complete garbage. Richard's was nice but I could live without it. Drum solos are NEVER needed. Bumble's was fine, leave it at that.

You would probably know about fruity things wouldn't you?

If I need to explain to you what I meant by that then you should really need to get out more.

I like long shows with minimal solos.  The Pearl Jam show I went to was 2 hours and 45 minutes.

No, donuts  are not fruit, so I don't know.
And FYI, we (donuts) are made during the hours of 3-5 am, so we don't get out much. We stay inside so we can be "fresh" for our  customers. They expect it. The best  donuts in the US, so we have standards.

Dunkin Donuts are better ;)   :hihi:

And jelly donuts have fruit inside of them.

What I want out of a GnR show: a band that has fun and enjoys sharing the stage with one another; a group of passionate and confident musicans who deliver a pummeling and powerhouse set, inspring both the audience and each other to remember that GnR *is* rock 'n roll.

Which is exactly what Axl, Tommy, Robin, Brain, Dizzy, Chris, Ron, and Richard have done in 2006.   :peace:

Any show with Axl in a good mood
Maybe a show with an announcement about a forthcoming CD or single.. :hihi:

What a con. Fucking drum solos and guitar solos - play the songs, what the people have paid to hear. They wern't cool in 92 and they blow in 06.

It should have been a great opportunity to showcase new material.
