Title: 93.3 WMMR - Memorial Day Count "up"
Post by: Electric Sintar on May 26, 2006, 09:08:42 PM
WMMR is doing a reverse countdown of the top #1000 songs this weekend, and here is how the GnR songs rank.  Defintiely not how I would rank them, but take it for whatt it is worth...

#13 -  Welcome to the Jungle
#20 -  Sweet Child O' Mine
#137 - Paradise City
#182 - Patience
#202 - November Rain
#249 - Kockin' on Heaven's Door
#401 - Civil War
#456 - Mr. Brownstone
#480 - You Could be Mine
#539 - Live and Let Die
#573 - Don't Cry
#613 - Used to Love Her
#643 - Nighttrain

Why in gods name is "November Rain " ranked that low ? Makes no sense.

Since there were some "non-released" songs on thisi list, I can't believe Estranged didn't make it myself..

I guess it would be hard to put a list together of the top 1000 songs, but to me listing VR "Sither" at #57 and Nickleback "How you remind me" at #135 (teo in fron of PC) is crazy...

I mean really, Slither better then 11 GnR songs....  whatever

Of course we're not going to agree with this, we're Gn'R fans.

We all know NR is tons better than How You Remind me, but Gn'R fans didn't make the list up.  Other people did.  Believe me there are a lot of people who think How You Remind me is better than November Rain. ::)

Just because we're huge fans of the band and think they're the best doesn't mean everyone should...

And about Estranged.. that song seems to only be populair from the Gn'R hardcore fans.  The casual fans don't seem to like that song nearly as much as the other Gn'R hits.. that's probably why it wouldn't get put on a countdown or up in this case...

It was also played on small-market radio stations in 1989.? I live in Podunk, and "Nightrain" was played on a Top 40 pop station.

There's an offical Nightrain single also.  Check the HTGTH discography. 8)
