Well radio station DJS talking about "crazy axl" out there starting to tour again and GnR classic hits are still all over hard rock and classic rock stations gives new, casual listeners the idea of picking up their greatest hits.

When and if Chinese Democracy ever comes out, the Greatest Hits will most likely crack the top 50.

Its actually kind of crazy that they can stay on the charts for over two years and sell 3 million records in the US with out any music videos or promotion for it. Its also pleasing to see GNR outselling Eminem's, Kanye West's, Madonna's, Bon Jovi's, and LL Cool J's latest CD's latest albums even though they got way more promotion.

BTW, anyone know how much GH's sold worldwide?

While it's not a perfect comp, at least it will introduce newer fans to the band.

I work at a music store in Canada, I imagine if it is at around 3 million units in the states it would be close to 4.5-5 million units worldwide.

Axl is all over the media, every little bit helps, sell records. I feel since the GH has kicked so much ass on the sales charts that Chinese will have no problem selling a ton of albums.

CD will sell well, won't just bought by fans, but by people out of curiosity.

That's even if it sucks.

Imagine what will happen if it's actually good...   :o

Well, there's always the chance that Axl really has just become one of those old guys who's trying to stay cool in the music scene but really doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

But I guess this discussion is going off topic.

Sooooooo...

Has anyone noticed that the price of Greatest Hits everywhere has went down to $9.99?  Or is that just where I live?

Well this is good news. Greatest Hits has sold consistently for over 2 years now.
