Here Today... Gone To Hell!

So last night Mr Madagascar, barbie567, and myself all hung out at a club with axl, baz, kid rock, tommy, ron, and a whole host of other model types and hangers on.

I had overheard that axl was going to be hanging out at a club called the soho house. So we went over to find out that it was a private club only. We thought we'd hang out for a while and see if axl would invite us in or something ANYTHING.

THen we noticed kiddie corner to where we were axl's vechile pull up. So we booked it across the street and kind just followed the group in. We hung out in the club til 6am. We didn't really bother axl as he was busy hanging out with everyone. I was five feet from him all night, and was totally eves dropping on him trying to pick up this model looking chick. I chatted with baz, ron and tommy for a while. they were all super cool and friendly.

Then i heard axl telling the chick he was trying to wheel say they were heading over to 'Bungalow 8". then one of the door guys at the club announced that was wear the party heading. AXL was pissed! He kept saying the guy was a fucking asshole, and that the club sucked. We followed axl outside and watched him chat with the chick he was with. He was still pretty reved up about the dude announcing where he was going. Mr. Madadgascar and I were pretty leary about approaching axl because he was so pissed off but we asked for a quick photo and he was totally cool about it.

I told him that the new material was his new creative peak. He said a quick thanks and booked it into his car.

I still haven't slept i've been so exicited about the whole experience. And as luck would have it, right after the picture with axl my battery in my camera died.... talk about luck. (http://i4.tinypic.com/103vtaq.jpg)

THats when the dude that worked there told everyone where axl was going and he got fucking pissed.

Then afterward outside he was having what looked like to be an intense conversation with her on the corner of the street. I was too far away to hear what he was saying too her. But they hugged and thats when axl came over our way and I didn't see where she went.


Oh yea I forgot to mention. The promoter that axl thanked at the show 'Vegas' was at the party as well. He brought in a cake that said. 'GNR NEW YORK. ROCK OUT WITH YOUR COCK OUT'

Awesome story Crash, I would've loved to have gone to the clubs in search of Axl but I had a train to catch and an early flight. Was cool hanging with you at Mustang Harry's though. Meeting and talking to Bumblefoot was cool though, really nice guy.

I've 5'7 not sure how tall brian is. I don't know if it was all in my head but axl's presence seemed huge to me. I was shaking I was so nervous/excited to be stand sometimes like 1 foot away from axl for over two hours.

Congrats man, thats about the coolest thing that could possibly happen aside from meeting Slash on your way home.  I still think its awesome that every now and then people meet members of the band.

Just to set it straight. Axl was in a great mood all night until the door guy announced where he was going. He was laughing and joking with baz, ron, kid rock, and a bunch of other VIPs. He looked awesome. He doesn't seem to be very photogenic these days, but in person he looked awesome. In great shape and really happy which was great to see.

Another highlight of the evening was that at the first party, I got to talk to Dizzy for a minute & he shook my hand.  He was nice, but looked a little dazed - he left early with a model-looking girl

So they were at 6's and 8's on Friday night and Stereo on Wednesday night? That means I'm going to shoot myself. ? >:(

He was in a bad mood to start with, & he was actually pretty nice about the picture.

I'm still amazed this happened!  You see it in the movies all the time...a couple folks blend in with a group to get into a private place, but holy crap!  That was amazing!  It works in real-life.   :yes:   I'd be scared some bouncer would wanna  kill me or something.  Again, much props!!!   :beer:

Great photo.  I met Axl, and Izzy when they were in Hollywood Rose way back in '85.  God, Ive just realised how old I am!  I used to go and see them and I even caught Slash in the odd gig with what seemed to be a revolving cast of others!  I remember seeing them at the Troubadour when they became Guns N Roses.  They were absolutely awesome then.  To be honest it was Duff I was completely bowled over by.  He was gorgeous back then.

You guys should've just said "Everyone say Weiland sucks" before taking the picture.  Then Axl would've been smiling  :hihi:

I am so happy for you all who got to hang with Axl and the guys!  Barbie, Madagascar, Crash Diet, Moondance, Jennaside, Mike G (and the guy from Denmark in the picture who I think told me that he is not an HTGTH member).  I met you at Mustang Harrys and you are all the nicest people!  I love to hear stories about real fans who get to meet the guys in the band.  And Ron Thal is one of the nicest people too.  I wish him a lot of success but I hope he stays the totally cool person that he is.  Thanks again for everyone who was so friendly to me!
