do you think that the first single may be one of the new songs GNR already have played live?
In that case, could this recordings from Hammerstein future on the first GNR video? Since
they played better 4 times in 4 shows, my bet goes to better, or maybe irs..

Anyway i would love to se a video with live clips.. i love videos like Paradice City, Estranged and You Could be mine
imagine better, with a same kind of video..  : ok:

ps: if the album will hit stores in the fall, then maybe we will get a single sometime during the summer tour!

Well I thought it was interesting that Chinse Democracy got worked into the encore one night and was usually mixed in between Patience, Nighttrain, and Paradise City. Makes me think that will be the new single.

could be, i think better would make a good first single. As far as them filming a video goes, i think it's credible that the filming at hammerstein was done for either a video or a dvd.

Well I'm just getting in from all 4 shows so I have alot of catching upto do here. I'm sure its been mentioned already but the people who were going around and video taping/interviewing the fans said that they were going to release a video of the shows. We shall see if that happens.

Better seems liek the road to take for a first single. ?If not that then IRS definitley from what weve heard. ?Then a good follow up would be TWAT.

 But who knows if theres not stronger material we havent heard. ?But from the leaks and what weve heard live Better sounds like the way to go. ?Everyone who ive had listen to that has said they loved it. ?Even those who didnt know who GNR was.

if i get tickets to see them in london it will be the first time ive heard the leaked tracks as my audio doesnt work, hope they are great

I don't know, Better gets better with every listen, the first time I heard it I didn't like it the way I do now. It was an aquired taste for me. IRS & TWAT were very easy to swallow.

Anyone I have played Chinese Democray for thinks that it is a bad song. I hope it doesn't make the album... kinda like the Foo's Colour and the Shape. Make it a B-side.

I'm hoping really hard that the first single will NOT be one of these songs. I think Better has the makings of a classic, but I want something completely unheard of and new to be the first single.

The first single had best be Better unless there is a more catchy, harder rocking track we haven't heard yet.

Getting the casual music fan to want to buy the record is what the focus should be.? Save the epic stuff for the rest of the record for us hardcore fans.? That stuff won't make it on radio.? Today's retarded rock scene has got the kids brainwashed.

Sure... In fact, I think it WILL be.

I think out of the new songs that they have played better would be the choice for the first single.

The new version of Chinese Democracy, would be a killer single.  The extended intro, extended bridge, and Fincks ripping new solo make this song a contemporary rocker--which would be perfect for a first single!!!  It would be like the Fly was on Achtung Baby, when U2 introduced their new sound.  Better, would be the perfect #2 single, like Mysterious Ways was, followed by CITR/and or The Blues, and then IRS, and then Prostitute!!  This album is shaping into a monster!!

I would expect the first single would be a song we've already heard, we've already heard potentially half the album so I wouldn't think we'd hear much more until its release.

I &m dying to hear the new version of cd. :drool: That's the song made me get into this band first.

But I think the first single will be better or an unheard song.

It's interesting you say that, because someone asked me recently what the newer GNR sound was like and in a quick response of the first thing that came to my head I said it's kinda like " Achtung Baby on Steroids "

Like people have noted, I could easily see Better being Gn'R's first single, but it wouldnt surprise me if they had an even better, unheard song up their sleeves slated to the first single...

The first single will easily have to be the best song Chinese Democracy has to offer...

It's going to have to hook the casual fans by the balls, and drag em' into their local record store...

No matter what Axl releases, we'll love it, but will the general public like it is the million dollar question... :-\

Right, which is why Better is the perfect choice so far.
