Title: Who was interviewed by music choice?
Post by: Guns N RockMusic on May 17, 2006, 08:59:24 AM
I know I was interviewed monday as well as Mr. Intensity.  A girl named Jenna (was that you JennaSide) was interviewed as well.  Just curious to see if any other HTGTH members were interviewed.  To be honest, they tried to bait me into knocking Axl (that was the imprerssion I got at least).  They asked me if his voice was gone, was buckethead still in the band.  How the new members were, new songs etc.  I had nothing but good things to say.

Not just yet.  I emailed them and am hoping for a response.  I'd like to see what they took from our interviews and added in.

I was interviewed...

I was asked what was your favorite part of the show..

*I said it was when Axl performed a new song called "better"..and also that so many gnr fans came from all around the world to be a part of it....

I was asked how Axl and the band sounded

*I said Axl's voice sounded better this time around and that he looks genuinely happy up there, as do all the other guys in the band.

I was then asked how does this new band compare to the old band..
*I stated that I couldn't comment on the live performance, because I never seen the old band, but I said that the new bands songs are more epic/complex than the old stuff and I believe the lyrics will be a bit deeper than a lot of the appetite stuff because Axl's older/more mature. I also said that I love the old band, appreciate everything they did, but am looking more forward to the new material than anything.

An update on this. I've been in contact with the girl who was interviewing people there, at least on the 17th, when I spoke to her. She had said the stuff should be posted on her site in about a month. I emailed her and she said they were filming for the band, not her own site, and that if they let her put up anything on her site, she'd be sure and tell me. So the footage belongs to the band evidently...

I wish I knew that ahead of time. I just thought they were for some news channel or something and decided to have some fun.

I went on a little rant myself about people coming to the shows and chanting for the old band members and stuff like that, but I was having fun with it. I didnt realize it until someone I was with pointed it out but I was told my rant reminded them of the character who does the "Fingercuffs" story(Cohee Lundin) in Chasing Amy.

The camera crew seemed to enjoy it because I was done pretty quick but they kept asking me to comment on other things like Sebastian Bach, how the new songs sounded live, etc. I'm half looking forward to seeing it and half dreading it. ;D
