Friday:  AxlsMainMan actually stopped by my house with his dad, Old Man AxlsMainMan.  We had a very cool time together before I dropped them off for a train headed for NYC.  As luck would have it, I ran into them again @ Mustang's while I was hanging out waiting for a call from wolftread, who himself was headed into NYC via cab to pick up tickets from me. I also, finally, met that fantastic sonofabitch Mr. Intensity.  Very awesome time for the short time I was there. 

I'll definitely be stopping in with my brother in tow during the day tomorrow.  I'm going to have someone hold our spot in line while we stop by for an hour.  Hope to see some of you there.  I'll be the guy wearing the gas mask soldier '02 tour shirt, hanging out with a guy who looks like Jesus.  Like, I know we're all brothers and sisters of Jesus and stuff  : ok:, but my brother's current style bears quite the resemblance to "Him."    :beer:

Thanks for everyone who came to the pre-party's, sorry I couldn't make Sunday's but I was on the phone for 3-4 hours sorting out unauthorized credit card transactions from a bar called Cro-bar on Saturday. It all ended up working out ok. It was great to meet all of you guys and discuss our opinions facet to face rather than over a computer. Mike, Joe, BigCash, Darknemus, Smegol, Pilferk, etc.... I'm so sorry I can't remember everyone I met, but I had a great fucking time. I think these shows was a once in a lifetime event and it was awesome that all of us who attened were part of it. Maybe we can all make a NYC show after Chinese Democracy is released and do this again.

Soon, I'll post all my storys.. I sat with Bach for over a half hour at an after party, I was in the same room as Axl (didn't even approach him though), I talked to Fortus, I think I offended Finck (I asked him what his relationship with Trent is like at this point and if he had any idea why Trent puts Axl referances on his nin site.) Then Robin said "I don't feel like talking about that and walked away"... so I am assuming that's a touch subject. Brain, Dizzy, and Bumblefoot weren't there.. I'll post a big summary about it later. I didn't get really any new news on anything though. :peace:

you know what gnr should do is, instead of playing at the garden, do 4 shows in 5 nights at the ballroom for their next tour

I met an amazing girl in line for the Monday night show.. she was gorgeous and had an awesome personality - plus she liked GNR which was just icing on the cake. ?I spent the better part of the concert behind her against the front gates making sure she wasn't crushed by the crowd... it was worth it - I hope I see her again. ?:love: ?Past that, the concerts have been fucking awesome and I met a shitload of cool people. ?I haven't actually told my name here to anyone I met, but I know I've finally put faces to a lot of you. ?It was cool as hell. ?I'll never forget Mr. Intensity going up and down the line asking for extra tickets to Monday's show, even though he had VIP access... I thought it was sort of funny/amusing, but I don't mean that in a bad way. ?I met 2 awesome canadian guys.. they were cool as hell. ?They sold 4 tickets to the Sunday night show at face value, 2 of which were to two kids that got fucked by a scalper but decided to wait in line anyway. ?The first night, Friday, I met a girl from Michigan that was supposed to graduate from college on Sunday. ?She passed out into my arms during Bullet for My Valentine - If you're out there reading this, Please PM me so I know you're OK - I lifted her over the fense for security to help her out. She missed GNR. By Sunday I got to talking with this guy and his girlfriend from NM. ?They were awesome and I ended up hanging out all day Tuesday with the guy after his girlfriend flew back home. ?We tore up NY haha. ?

Overall, this has been the coolest fucking week of my life. ?I'm graduating college in a year and this was my advance graduation gift to myself before my profession consumes my life. ?If I could trap this week in my time, I'd never let it end. ?But all good things must come to pass and thats alright because I've got some great fucking memories. ?GN'F'nR!

The funniest thing about Monday's show when I needed two extra tickets for these two girls my buddy's met was when I got them, the the chicks were like we don't wanna pay that much money for the tix.. so my buddy's didn't want to go again as they aren't huge fans. So I had a ticket for myself, plus like 5 extra. But, what I didn't know was the purple wrist bands I got were to get me into an afterparty downstairs, and I had a few of them..... so I sold the 5 extra at face around 8pm. Went back to the hotel and arrived solo operation at about 10:50 pm. Watched the show... kind of looked for anyone else from the board to come to the party.. but didnt see anyone in mezz1, so I gave the two extra bands to two hot chicks (figured that would be the best way to not be turned away from the after-party if I had two hot chicks with me)... I got in and immediatly sat down with these two chicks at a table, they gave us free beers, and then Sebastion bach just sits down with a bottle of whine and starts talking... I sat with him most the time, the girls eventually got up to go hug on Stinson's nuts. Bach is a great guy man... :hihi:

Bach seems like he would be the life of the party.. i'd like to run into that guy some time hehe!

I met Mike who was really cool and a funny guy as well.  We had a nice little "discussion" on what the real GNR is, which is much more fun in person than online.  I wish I could have met more of you but I didn't get to Mustang's on Friday night until after 7.  And Sunday night I didnt get into the city until 10.  Unfortunately, I can't do more than 2 concerts without getting divorced, so I can't make it tonight.  Anyway, everyone have a great time tonight.  And get ready for Izzy!!!!

I was there monday night. I did not get to meet anyone from the board. There were some cool people there. I wanted to go to mustang harrys but got in town late due to tracffic accident on 78.  I got hammered before gunr came on that I could barely move the first 4 or so songs of there setlis. I do not normally do any funny stuff but I was cuaght up in the moment. It was like being in a coma, I could hear everything but I could not move.

Feels great to know I gave up my ticket for the night Izzy shows up.  Someone hook me up with a gallon of kerosene.  And a match.

Loved meeting everyone on Monday.  The "huddle" around the bar was a blast!!  We shot the shit for like 4 hours...and it seemed like 4 minutes.

We all SERIOUSLY need to start talking about an annual HTGTH "convention" if GnR start touring regularly now.  One show a year, we all converge on that city.  It was good times, for sure!

The "Gimme some TWAT" sign, in line, was one of the highlights, man.  As well as harassing the passersby for high fives while "wielding" that sign..

Oh, and seeing the Blue Meanie walking down the street with his girl, and starting an E-C-dub chant. :)

It was insanely cool meeting all of you.  In addition, I want to thank everyone who pretty much didn't let me buy my own drinks, like ever.  Definitely a nice gesture.  You guys were great (girls, too) and I look forward to doing this again.

I hooked up with Kujo on the 15th and what a mistake that was.

I went out to buy the guy a beer and when I came back he was hitting on my wife. He kept saying to her:"Who da King baby, who da King?!?"

I thought after a couple of beers he would calm down but he only got more excited and after a certain point it was obvious this guy had turrets. At the end of November Rain he started screaming "Are there any Jews in the crowd? Any Jews here tonight?!!?" He must have screamed that 5 times through the night. I had no idea of what he was talking about.

Finally at the end he stole my umbrella and ran down the 34th street singing "Always look on the bright side of life."

I have not seen him or my umbrella since..........

Edit: He also took 5 dollars and latest Michael Moore book out of my hotel room (preshow.)

I should have hooked up with Bono instead, as he sounded like a nice guy on the phone. It began to pour while I was out and I had to run back to the hotel to put dry clothes on. I didn't want to go to the venue soaking wet, and I had some time. I ended up leaving my cell back in the room and found out he gave me a bell later that night.

So my sincere apologies to Bono, sorry I missed you dude. I bet you would not have grabbed my wife's ass, stolen my money and pissed off half of NY with crazy Hebrew rants.

Met another guy from Maryland to the right of me. He had been to the show prior and had video clips he was showing me of Axl on his phone. One of many hardcore GnR fans I saw that night. You reading this, Mr Hardcore GnR fan from Maryland?

Breakfast joint at the bottom of the NYer was packed with other rabid GnR fanatics, talking lustfully and in great detail of the new songs.

The whole thing was just barely a step above a Star Trek convention really.........

I was sorry I missed ya...though were you at Mustang's at some point?  I think you might have been just as dark, Axlgunner, and I left...

Would have liked to say hello.......

We got 3 hours sleep the night before. Got to our hotel around 3 or so. Went out to eat and then came back to the room and took a "disco nap" until 6-7ish. So I never got to Mustangs.......

The venue was literally right next to my hotel.

Well the lasting image for me was walking out of the show Sunday night and seeing mikeguiliani holding up a black "Slash" shirt, yelling at everyone passing by: "This is GnR, anyone have a problem with that?" I also enjoyed the first night when Mike gave me my ticket for mondays show, and then about 30 minutes later came upto me and asked if I knew where kujo was because he had a ticket for him :hihi: Mike was fun.

On the other hand there was SLC

Getting to see SLC in person was, well, interesting ::). I saved some seats for him and his wife, and he shows up carrying a folder of pictures. Whenever anyone around us would make a comment, his wife would whisper in his ear and SLC would start sorting through his pictures until he found one he liked and would wave it around for anyone to see. I'm not sure if he even heard any of the concert as he spent most of the time debating politics with the back wall of the venue. Except for politics, the only words he would say were "Ni, NI" and ask for shrubbery. :nervous: For some reason he kept wanting to be called "Prince Herbert" not sure what that was all about.

I had a great time in NYC.  Amazing time, actually. 

I met a few members of the forum as well.  Sometimes, I didn't say who I was, and sometimes I did make a mention of my nickname. 

But yeah, I saw YoungGunner at Monday night's show, as well as talked with Crashdiet (such a nice guy!! :)) and Mysteron (if that really was you... hehe... just call me a doubting Thomas :)).  I also saw Mr. Intensity pace the line a few times... :)

Over all, my 4 days in NYC was an incredible experience, and I can't wait to do it all over again.  However, hopefully, there will never again be a 4 year gap between concerts.  I just can't wait until some American fall dates will be added to the concert listings.  Oh yeah... some Canadian dates would be ultra good as well!

I was the one wearing the blue shirt that said "Mysteron" on it.  It was funny as hell cause some people got the joke right away and others were baffled and started thanking me.  Like why the hell if I was Mysteron would I wear a shirt with my name on it telling the world who I was.  I was walking by the line and everyone was like, "thanks for the presales" and in the bathroom and a couple knew that I wasn't him and just started laughing when they heard people thanking me.  After a while I just went along with it. 

Good times New York, good times. 

there is a pre party pic thread but the 15th seems to be missing, I know dark took pics that day but hasn't posted them yet.. He probably would have a pic with you in there...

I actually didn't get to meet as many members as i thought I would. I actually met alot of members hwo say they only read and never post so I didn't recognize their names. It was cool meeting G n F n R. Actually went out for a bite to eat and to a comedy club with him the night before the show on the 15th. Cool guy. Deez Nuts was a blast. freaking hilarious. Apparently the girl I was with is his dream girl. He made sure to tell me so and then made his feelings clear to her as well :rofl: I forget their names but the guys from Boston were hilarious and the guys from St. Louis were great to hang out with also. I swear Emon was following me to the bathroom everytime :hihi: Just kididng man. Mike as for you man hopefully we'll meet again when you're in better shape. Too funny. You seemd like you had been on a  bender for a week straight. You were holding it together pretty well considering. Talking clearly and aware of your surroundings. just tired and a wee bit drunk :hihi: All in all to be honest the Guns fans I met were a million times more down to earth and normal than i had expected. You know you kind of expect GnR fans to be a little bit on the loose cannon side. ;D Cheers to all I met. I had a great time. :beer:

that was it, i went to the 12th, and 14th, i drank non stop, then by the time you showed up there add another 5-6 hours and I just couldn't go on, I needed rest..I don't think there was an ounce of water in my system.. :hihi: Lets say it was a long time since i had drank before the 4 shows and it'll be a long time after as well.. ;D

I gotta admit I was a little bummed not being able to shoot the shit with you Mike, but now that I look back at it, I'm glad you were hammered cause that's what the whole GNR experience is about.  We weren't at a Celene Dion preparty. 

My last memory of you was you stumbling around mumbling incoherrently "wheeeeeeeere's jazzzzzzzzzz JAYME", haha, good stuff.

Mental note, never eat a quarter-pounder with cheese at 4:30 in the morning after drinking all day/night, and then having to sit on a plane for 2.5 hrs!

Also, there's a few of us on that TV show from the G4 channel toasting at the preparty.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of u again once Axl gets back here.

i had hoped to meet some board members, but i didn't show up at MH's until 6:30 friday night. by then, upstairs was low key, hot as hell, and no guns on the radio.  :(

i hung out for a beer, then i went downstairs. met some gnr fans, but they weren't board members.

finally left to hit a bar with a juke box so i could crank out some gnr tunes.

Yeah friday was pretty tame at MH. I bolted about 6:00 to go get online, and than I had other things pop up the other nights and didnt get back. It sounds like it got better the other 3 nights.

 :rofl: yeah none of us were really shying away from the McDonalds were we DizzyReed63! Thank God I wasn't on a plane the next day.  :hihi:

I wish I would've stayed one more night, because my friend, Kris (the girl), she met Axl the next night at her favorite club...goddamnit! I shoulda been there!

I was outside and saw the u-2 shirt and said that has to be bono... :hihi: Only if you showed up a little earlier we could have had a nice talk..   The 14th -15 thing I should had paced myself... I wasn't even going the 14th but ha d aticket to sell then ended up going and drinking enough for both nights... WhenI woek up for monday's show I was still drunk... I kind of did a slash or duff, drank beers to even myself out.. Worked great until my entire body was running on heineken and would no longer allow me to go on... Fuck it was rock n roll, I ejoyed meeting everyone, I was there every night and loved every minute.. Not one black out either, funny considering I rarely drink and made up for it in 4 nights :beer: All the usernames are hard to remember sober ,I was there from 12noon on so I met every drifter and johnny come lately who swung by..

The last night was a great time at mustangs,.... Friday was great too, but people were in such a rush to get online, yet I didn't head over till it was getting dark outside... I was with dtj and her friends..

Yeah that was G N F N R who lost his debit card. I went with him to try and find it but with no luck. And yeah I remeber that dude asking us formore money, and that if we got 2 more people he'd cut us a better deal. Hilarious. Plus remeber the dude who just wanted to tal and was so grateful that we didn't judge him without actually knowing him. Funny shit.  Jen liked Kris. She was happy that there was another girl around so she didn't have to haneg out with just a bunch of dudes :hihi:

the funny part Mike is that when my friend and I were just getting to Mustang's I was telling her there would be people there that I "know" and you were the one name I specifically mentioned. Right as we were walking up to Mustang's you walked out and I knew it was you right away. Then when you came back I was positive and called you over. The U2 shirt must've clued you in like you said becasue you knew who I was before I even said it. I hung around Mustang's untill 9:00 that night. We were in no rush to get there early. I figured the venue was small enough that wherever we sat wold be great and knowing full well that Axl wouldn't come on stage untill 11:00 or later made the choice to stay at Mustang's even easier.

Oh and DizzyReed63 what an amazing after party at Stitch eh? That was insane. Peope everywhere. Or not. :rofl: Still a good time though.

lol I kid you not, that was one of the best $23 bottles of wine I've ever had. Not that I'm a big wine drinker. I wish I could remember the name of it, it'd probably only be $8-$10 retail. My favorite part was when Matt left and 5 minutes later I looked around and it was suddenly packed... Maybe it was more than 5 minutes, I was starting to feel the effects of the wine by then.lol

matt was the guy holding the cloud over the place, he left the people came, it was hilarious, it went from like 10 to 30 in 5 minutes :rofl: Nothing was cooler then when matt heard the leaks for the first time there. he loved better

I had a great time in Lisbon and it was a lot of fun meeting everybody. Looking forward to next week.
