It's been 14 years of pain, It's been 14 years that are gone forever and I'll never have again" listening to gn'r late last thursday night me and a few associates stumbled across a possible 'hidden' masterplan in the illusion era songs. the song '14 years' was written by axl & izzy and contains the verse above, could it be that chinese democracy is due for release 14 years after the last gn'r record? (2007, 14 years after spaghetti) "'Coz yesterday got nothin' for me Old pictures that I'll always see Some things could be better If we all just let them be" I ain't got time to reminisce old novelties" yesterdays, again a song written in part by axl, the lyrics here speak on their own behalf, "Suddenly this time I found I'm on the streets and all alone" all alone eh? he's now the only original gn'r member... "You can use you illusion, let it take you where it may We live and learn and then sometimes it's best to walk away. Me? I'm just here hangin' on It's my only place to stay at least for now anyway I've worked too hard for my illusions, just to throw them all away" does that mean he'll never turn his back on gn'r? "So nobody ever told us baby How it was gonna be So what'll happen to us baby Guess we'll have to wait and see" he's unsure of the future. the future of guns? and it's not just axls lyrics, izzy wrote, "Once there was this rock n' roll band rollin' on the streets, Time went by and it became a joke" kinda true a few years back. but anyway, beatle lyrics have always had extra meaning chucked into them, paul is dead and so on. but it's just funny seeing how easy it is to relate any gn'r lyric with the current line-ups situation and how we've all traveled to this point. just a bit of fun, see what you make of it. oh yeah..
