Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I just talked to some people at Hammerstein and they all said the show will end at 1 AM at the latest.? Unlike many other NYC venues apparently their curfew is 1 instead of 11 PM.? Bullet for My Valentine will take the stage at 9 as some thought and the people from the venue guaranteed that the show will be over by 1.? So everyone knows, the last trains to Jersey leave at 1:41 so there will be plenty of cushion.? Hope this helps everyone worried about when to arrive/ traveling issues.

And so that everyone knows, this isn't inside info or anything, I just called the hammerstein contact numbers on their website.  I hadn't seen anything about the official curfew, just speculation, so I'm sorry if this has been covered-- I don't believe it has though.  This is going to be incredible

All i know is that they guaranteed itd be over by 1-- if thats true, then all GNR would have to do is hit the stage by 11 and still be able to play a 2 hour show-- I cant see BFMV playing more than an hour-- that gives a full hour to setup and BS.  oh well though, as long as its done by 1:30, we should be able to get to the train easily.

Axl will play to whenever the fuck he feels like...however, I do hope he is on by 11pm and plays a two hour set!!!

11 pm would be great.. Extra time to have drinks and chat..

Eh, doesn't the earliest train out to jersey leave at like 3:30 or 4 AM? There's only like a 2 or 3 hour "down time", right? Hell, even if he goes over...you'd only have a couple/few hour wait.

I'm sure you could find SOMETHING to keep you occupied for that time.

I'll be at the show tomorrow night and fri.  Me, I couldnt care less-- but I know my gf wont be too thrilled about spending 3 hours in NYC after the show if it were to come to that-- shes only tgoing to the first show-- earliest train is 5 AM--

As far as the curfew, I'll be surprised if we are actually out of there by 1am. It would be the earliest I ever left a GnR show.

To everyone going: Rock out fellas, and have a great time. I wish I could be there :'(, but I am just a few states away, and it would not be feasible, finacially right now at least, to make the trip. Think of us while you are rocking out with Axl and the boys!

I've never been, but...from the reports I've heard from those who have, BOTH the Scores in NY, but especially the new West Side version, are pretty impressive.

I won't even be arriving until 10pm tommorow night....

Wonder if during that hour between BFMV and GNR that Axl may allow us to listen to some songs from CD to pass the time before we hear them on stage?  I'd probably want to just hear them for the first time live, but that's going to be one loooooong hour of waiting!

I think I'll ride the Nightrain Fri+Sat night.. chill on Sunday/Sight see... then on Monday party a little bit again.

  If the doors open at 7:30pm, wouldn't you think that Bullet for my Valentine would take the stage much earlier than 9pm?  I anticipated GNR taking the stage no later than 10pm.  Can someone correct my logic if its wrong.

A 2 hour set is pretty short for an epic band like GN'R (even though it's Axl + Friends the name still gets respect) with lots of material to play.

If you think Axl cares if you make you train to NJ, just ask all the fans who have been at no shows, cancelled, and riots...no offense to you, but the Hammerstein is not going to cause themselves a riot, nor are they going to pull the plug at 1am and watch their place be destroyed.

Bullet won't play for more than a half hour...they don't have a lot of material and their songs are quick, expect them to be off by 9:30, 9:40 the latest, that's if they start at 9pm

There's one opening band right? What time do you guys think GNR will go on? 9:30pm-10pm?

11 would be optimistic.. I don't think the MSG show started till 10:30 or so and there were 10x the people there....

i was at the MSG show and they went on at 9:55, which i think was the earliest he went on during that whole tour, Axl loves NYC baby!!

YOu are correct, bingo, at the 91 shows at the garden earliest they went on was 11pm.

Well, seeing as I have been to one of the no-shows and had chairs thrown over me and all that shit, I think I should know pretty well what thats like.  I didn't ask if Axl cared, nor do I expect him to.  I would assume the contract is tight though, so we'll see.
