Title: help on printing t-shirts Post by: muffinass on May 08, 2006, 07:26:20 PM i'm planning on going this week to print off a t-shirt to wear in NY for the shows...does anyone have any idea on what to provide to the shirt-printers? i want to use the new logo, and print it on a burgundy or black shirt, but the thing is they told me they want me to print it on a piece of paper first, then they'll use that to make the print. now if i were to print the new logo, i'm sure the print would show up as a black/burgundy square printed on a shirt...has anyone prepared an image (and has photoshoped the logo out of the background) for a t-shirt print? Title: Re: help on printing t-shirts Post by: Prometheus on May 08, 2006, 09:11:04 PM send me the link of the new logo and ill get ready to go.... and ask if they would prefer the log in *.png format and at what res they want it

Title: Re: help on printing t-shirts Post by: Sterlingdog on May 09, 2006, 11:37:26 PM Can they make a shirt with the logo? Wouldn't that be a copyright violation or something? Then again, I guess if they aren't worried about it, why should you?
Title: Re: help on printing t-shirts Post by: Mama Kin on May 10, 2006, 12:45:31 AM Yeah, you'll get a square that's off color to the Tshirt. Years ago, I made an AFD shirt with the CD booklet cover. The blacks didn't match and it looked funny, but held me over until I finally get my hands on some official merchandise.
No, they're not supposed to make a print or whatever of a copyrighted image, but they'll generally look the way if no copyright or trademark appears on the actual picture you're using. |
