Title: remove the "delete" function
Post by: speed-stone on May 08, 2006, 09:51:52 AM
my experience is that certain posters, after being "owned" by other posters, delete their original post to save face, like hide their original stupidity and make the person who replies to them seem like an idiot. this is a very cowardly thing to do and should not be allowed.

You're an idiot.

You take one instance from about ten or so different reasons as to why somebody would want to delete their post, and you call for the function to be removed.

As I say,

i'm an idiot? it was a suggestion!
i hope jarmo sticks by his plans and give bad points to whoever insults another member, even though they are a "mod". i think it's sickening how your hate for me as a poster reveals your hypocricy.

You really are looking for attention, aren't you?

Just relax and enjoy your stay here, as the rest of us.

i can get attention elsewhere, all i did was post a serious suggestion because it pisses me off when people delete their own posts and thereby screw up the discussion. do you get that? and being called an idiot by a friggin' mod for making a suggestion, isn't really helping the board atmosphere is it.

Umm... I don't actually think Speedy has insulted anyone in the past few days, so why has he got -6 Karma points?

All he's doing is posting his thoughts, and then he's insulted by someone ELSE! Then of course he's going to retaliate!

Don't take away his karma for standing up for himself and voicing his opinion!!

After all... freedom of speech is the rock n' roll way! : ok:

There, that's my two cents. Leave Speedy alone and maybe actually listen to what he's saying!

Hey where'd my Karma go? This is pissing me off.... I didn't insult anyone!! ALL I DID WAS STICK UP FOR A FRIEND!!!

Exactly! There are many reasons why someone would want to delete their post apart from being "owned".

And dude..... You have -7 already?  :o

Congrats man, you broke a record!

let me know what excactly i have done to deserve -7 point already. this is fucking stupid. jarmo, your mods are having a field day handing out points to me for no reason, all while insulting me themselves. looks like your plan isn't really working, is it? thanx for sticking up for me skelly.

I don't know where you got it, but I'm almost sure that you had it before this thread. Go to your profile and check your latest posts to see if you can find some clues there :)

The Board Gallery thread - post your pics

You have 13 posts in 3 pages and only one of them contains a picture of you.

9 of them were after this post by Jarmo:

http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=21783.msg555378#msg555378

Good enough?

If you just relaxed and enjoyed interacting with other GN'R fans on the board you probably wouldn't be such a target.

Title: Re: remove the "delete" function

If you just relaxed and enjoyed interacting with other GN'R fans on the board you probably wouldn't be such a target.

so in your opinion, Jim calling me an idiot and Christos ignoring it and the two of them hitting me with bad rep points over nothing is justifiable? how many percent of my posts are gnr related? 99%? if they'd stop e-bullying i'd stop reacting to it, like skynyrdgirl and others have pointed out several times now. me being hit with seven points for nothing and jim not even getting one for calling me an idiot is a disgrace.

Title: Re: remove the "delete" function
Post by: Evolution on May 08, 2006, 11:39:52 AM
I didn't say it was justifiable, just that you should maybe calm down with all the threads and complaints. If you just accepted not everything on this board will be run the way you want it, you wouldn't get the negative attention from the mods.

First of all, I didn't hit you with "bad rep points", I hit SLCPUNK when he insulted you. That should earn me some respect, but you still think everyone is only after YOU.

Second, i'm not ignoring anything. As you can see I've read the thread and answered SkynyrdGirl's question about her karma.

However Jim is a moderator. I'm not above Jim, it's Jarmo's job to talk about this.

But since you asked for my opinion you'll get it.

Moderators are trying to be equal to everyone in here. We don't watch people all the time, or stalk them waiting for their one mistake to smite them and get them banned.

I never gave you any attention. To be honest, I didn't know who you were until a few days ago, when you started posting too much.

Then... you got minus 7 in one day. The day this Karma thing got started. Mistake? I don't think so. I was here all day yesterday and I watched it all.

Almost every moderator gave you one. All of them are against you? I don't think so.

Yes, Jim got upset on you, but you've been trying really hard for the past couple of days to get everyone in here upset, and you've succeeded.

Now, Jarmo will talk further about Jim, as he is the admin and I'm just another moderator. Or just another nazi moderator.

You shouldn't be telling anybody here how to behave after I've banned you at least three times in a few days.

Your stay won't be long.

Nothing here seems to work the way you like.....  ::)

christos, i'm a member of this board since 2002, i have about 5000 posts combined with gnr related stuff, still people want to single me out for the few off-topic posts. and why is it that in that one day, no one saw me offend anyone? that's funny. this reeks of "power" abuse. but whatever, i'm not gonna do anything to get myself any additional posts so i'm leaving this section of the board for good.

Title: Re: remove the "delete" function
Post by: jarmo on May 08, 2006, 12:07:06 PM
Look, we don't give a fuck if you have 5000 or 5 posts. Ok?

It doesn't matter. You simply don't understand that we have rules.

Somebody questions you and you're there wishing his mother was dead. Doesn't give the impression you've been here a long time does it?

what are you talking about? the reason i deleted my account was because of SLCPUNK, he was insulting me and i thought "fuck this board i'm done" but then later changed my mind. ask skynyrdgirl, she knows. and who would know best what i do, you or me? regardless, i'm done with this topic, jarmo has warned me again. i'm fighting a losing battle with you guys. bye.

edit: and my posts from that account are still there, deleting your account doesn't mean your posts disappear. shouldn't you know this?

Do you make any sense at all to anyone?

You asked:

Quote
when have i said that?

You got the answer with a link, where I don't see SLCPUNK insulting you. It's actually the other way around, in the worst possible way.

You asked us to remove the "delete" function, and I told you that you did the exact same thing in the past, with proof, in the link where you wished for someone's mother to die.

You should be thankfull Jarmo allowed you to post here after that wish.

If it was my board, you'd be banned for life.

Someone's mother is one of the things you don't fuck with, in my book...

Well, I'll post it for you:

delete this topic, haters ruined it.

having lost so much with his break-up with stephanie

He needs to get over Stephany already....

How long do you some of you guys think a man can cry over a lost love? I can't believe the amount of people that refer back to this relationship that was over ten years ago............ ::) It seems as if many here are stuck in the early 90's unable to move on.

according to beta, one of his most trusted friends, he never got over stephanie, so please keep your smart-ass comments to yourself.

No need to get all hostile.

I find it hard to believe that Axl is still sitting around writing down his pain and anguish over a woman that was in his life friggin' 15 years ago. I find it even more funny that people believe it and want to talk about it. I mean, gimmie a break.

fine, leave the thread then if you don't want to talk about it. i'll talk about whatever i feel like talking about, so move on.

I did want to talk about it, and I posted how I felt.

You (and others) are talking about his personal life, making assumptions, and I don't think it is very fair to him. Nobody knows if it is the truth (and I find it hard to believe it is) yet repeat it again anyway. It gets passed around the internet and becomes a truth. It's no wonder Axl thinks the internet is nothing more then a garbage can, and rarely talks to the media.

Plus don't you think it's possible he has had other relationships since 1993.. ?

Exactly.

delete this topic, haters ruined it.

Nobody is a "hater", but people do have opinions that are different then yours, and others on this board. No reason to fly off the handle if everybody doesn't agree with you.

i have done nothing but respect axl's personal life, all this was about was he puts out songs talking about the subject and i talk about the words. you're a fucking idiot and probably the reason why axl hates the internet, just arguments and idiotism.

If you respected his personal life then you would not make assumptions about his love life and then repeat them as fact.

SCLPUNK, can you delete your posts in this topic and let me start it over? it would be appreciated.

I'm sorry, but my feeble mind (idiot) is unable to understand your request......

Please try again at a later time.........

Feel free to post away though, don't let me stop you....

my experience is that certain posters, after being "owned" by other posters, delete their original post to save face, like hide their original stupidity and make the person who replies to them seem like an idiot. this is a very cowardly thing to do and should not be allowed.

Not only have you done this, but you also go back and modify your posts.

i actually don't, unless there are mistakes there i want to correct. i never go back to add stuff for the sake of looking better, i dare you to find one example where i have. and can you say that i have done this, without feeling that you as a grown man is sitting there lying on a message board? that would be incredibly sad. that being said, don't even bother responding, i'm so sick of seeing your username in the threads i post in that i feel like throwing up.

The Mods already did.

Then there was another thread where you went back and changed everything you wrote. But I had already quoted you in response, so there it was, for all to see. That thread also got deleted because you became so upset.

well, this outright lie just proves your word aren't worth shit.
Actually, He is probably one of the most valuable members of this board, imo.  He is consistant, fair and willing to listen to others opinions... unless they have no intellect what so ever.

a man without his word is nothing.
Wasn't your word that this was your last post?  And then another?  And another?

Quote

just look inside yourself and look at what you just posted.
Erm, Like you can talk buddie?!
you're a fucking disguisting person and i hope that your mother dies in a car accident. i made it clear in my initial post that i did not know axl and i simple wondered why he used the word "bittersweet" so much. fuckhead. i respect his personal life but i don't value your life. good day.

you just confirmed i'm alot better than you.
I just confirmed you should just leave.  Go.  Quickly, and dont come back, you upset too many people and mess up our threads.
