The newspaper The Boston Globe (boston.com) has a illustative piece on GNR today.  It is on the bottom of the page under A&E.  It is called "Appetite Reconstruction".  Take a look.

Appetite for Reconstruction

Guns N' Roses have had their ups and downs since blowing up on the music scene in the late ?80s and early ?90s. The band will open for the Rolling Stones during a couple of European dates, but who is left to wield the hard rock axe that is GNR? Let?s find out.

Aside from playing lead guitar with the current GNR band, Finck has also worked with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and, believe it or not, Cirque du Soleil.

Rhythm Guitar (2002-present)

As hardcore as it might feel to play for GNR, rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus has worked with even harder and tougher bands, such as *NSYNC and Britney Spears.

Brian ?Brain? Mantua (sic) has worked as a drummer for the past 6 years as a drummer for the new GNR, but he?s known more for his work with cult figures in music like Primus, Tom Waits, and even former GNR guitarist Buckethead.

Dizzy Reed

Reed has not only worked with the new incarnation of GNR but also the original band, starting in 1990. You might remember hearing Reed?s tasty licks on ?November Rain.?

Axl Rose

What can be said about Axl that hasn?t already been said? After an appearance at the 2002 MTV Movie Awards with the ?new? GNR, we were promised ?Chinese Democracy.? Will it ever come to fruition? Given Rose?s track record, probably not.

if axl does more appearances like he had on trunk last night, the media will favor him again, and from this article, which is not negative, seems like theyre pulling for him to go out and do it again
