Maybe just me but that was the best news from the interview : ok: i know it's only a small chance but it's better than nothing. and in the long run this could maybe open the door for a full reunion!!!

I think izzy as more power than any other member, if he says jump slash etc would ask how high!!!!

axl got 3 guitarists to create the sound you d hear on the studio versions, live. ?slash would go back and record parts over axls vocals, stuff they couldnt do live with only 2 guitarists.

Do you think if they were going to have a reunion he would have said it? Of course not, just like how he didn't name the third guitar player. Axl saying no reuinon doesn't mean there isn't one.

i'd be shocked if he actually plays with them.. just doesn't seem too likely to me!

I could see Izzy showing up for the later shows, playing 2-3 shows at the end. If he did so with VR, why not with Axl? They'll both get good press out of it.

hey may jam with axl at the ny shows and guns would play dont cry with izzy. but i dont think he is going to become part of the band again. Izzy is the only one out of the old guns i like or liked. I think it would be better if they just did a few songs at ny together and leave it at that. ten do a few more things at different shows.

To me, next to the album hopefully being out in the fall, Izzy possibly checking out the NY shows, and maybe playing a song or two was the best possible news we could have imagined :D

Even if there is mild bad blood still lingering between Slash and Axl, or Axl and Duff....down the road, I see Izzy being the primary force is ironing out all the issues of the past : ok:

izzy is probable to laid back to care who he plays with, he marches to the tune of his own drum.
here's a theory on a reunion, if it did happen izzy wouldn't do it, 1-off shows no problem, he doesn't like the pain of touring which shows by how little he tours his own albums.

I thought that this was the best part of the interview.  I think it would actually give some sort of closure to the old GNR.  If Izzy came on and did a few songs I think that it would let people know that Axl has officially moved on from the old band.  Maybe he did a long time ago but he certainly never said anything about it or showed anything. 

Yeah, it would be great if Izzy joined them on stage for a song or two, but if he doesn't no big deal. It's just good to know that he and Axl are friends. Hell, maybe they'll write a song together sometime down the road. As much as I would love to see Izzy on stage with Axl again, I think it would be cool just to have him in the audience supporting his old friend.

I think we'll see maybe 14 Years and Don't Cry with Izzy.  Don't Cry just may have Bach as a 2nd Vocalist, much as we saw with Hoon back in the day.

Just curious, why is Izzy the only old member from Guns that you liked?  Is it because he is the one that Axl actually mentions that might come back?  If Axl said this about Duff, would you have said that about him?  I just don't get why he is the only one you liked.  Was it his playing you liked?  Izzy playing don't cry would be nice.  Slash re-did Izzy's parts on the album for Don't Cry cause they were too sloppy.  So what you hear on the album is all Slash.

Apparently there are a lot of areas regarding the Illusion albums, all songs included, that we don't know.  For such a musical masterpiece, it's hard to imagine that the members didn't work as a unit to create them.  With that said, Izzy was a great rhythm guitarist, undeniably.  He's obviously never going to go back to GNR fulltime, but it'd be nice and welcomed to hear him on a few of the classic GNR tracks, especially those that we didn't hear during the '02 shows.

And where did you get that info from? Cause as far as my ears go Izzy is playing on Don't Cry.

If Izzy does two songs with the band it would be fun to hear his take on one of the new songs, Better maybe? : ok:

i'm def getting my hopes up that izzy will perform for atleast a few songs during the new york shows.. if you listen to the interview.. when bas asks axl what is izzy up to.. axl kinda makes it sound like he'll def be at the new yourk shows then .. tries to back track.. and say well.. meybe hel'll show up.. who knows with izzy.....
anyone think there is any chance bas will join them on stage?  i would love to see it for a song that were going to play anyway.. like paradice city.. we've all heard it a ton of times.. and it rules as a show closer..

Its true.  In an interview with Slash, he actually dogs Izzy on what I love best about him.  I love the loseness of Izzy's playing.  Anyway, Slash wanted the guitars to sound more perfect, so he actually re-recored a lot of Izzy's parts on Illusion.  This is fact.  Some songs, he didn't even bother with Izzy on.  For example, Civil War.  That is all Slash on all guitars.  I think Izzy was in and out a lot during the recording of UYI.  Someone has an article with this I am sure. 

I know what Slash has said about Izzy's playing after he left, that it was much more tight and heavy with Gilby. And I know that there are some credit mistakes, Izzy doesn't play leadguitar on DTJ and doesn't play guitar on Coma and Locomotive (his parts weren't agressive enough), but I've never read anything about Don't Cry... and I've read lots of interviews ;) ;D

I'm pretty sure Izzy does play on Don't Cry, it sounds like him.

get izzy as the third guitarist, bas can take over where shannon hoon left off.. see if teddy zig zag is around to play the triangle.. and axl could find two girls in the harlem chior named tracey and roberta to sing back up vocals..  i heard from axl's friends, brother's former room mate that this will be the line up for the may 12th show..

i actually hope the izzy and bas part really happens.. less than a week and we'll all know.. i live in nyc so i should be able to have an update for everyone shortly after the show..  there is pretty good chance though i get wasted and don't post till morn.   fired up for next fri
