When's the album out any ideas?

Only heard, Steady As She Goes, bought it on vinyl today, awesome tune.... :D

I think it comes out this month.  Haven't heard anything from it but am looking forward to it.  ICE magazine/website should be able to tell ya.

looks like it'll be out here in a couple of weeks. if the single is any indicator of how the album sounds, I'll definately be getting it!

The album is out on May 16 over here and in the States.

It's already out there though, of course. A friend of mine said that it's pretty good, and that Steady as She Goes is the most radio-friendly on the album.

Here in Australia the album Broken Boy Soldiers comes out this Saturday (the 13th). I think they're great! The name 'The Racontuers' was already being used by a band in Brisbane so they (Jack White's band, not the other one) are now known as The Saboteurs in Australia, I'm still gonna call them the Raconteurs though : ok:. lol

There are some quality, quality songs on that album.  Jack White just keeps surpassing himself all the time - he is undoubtedly the best mainstream guitarist of the naughties. :yes:

'Broken Boy Soldiers' is probably my favourite track.  It sounds like Led Zeppelin, and I ain't exaggerating.

jack white is a rock savior. sticking to his roots playing bluesy music. i love it.

his new band sounds really good, im stoked about the new album.

i love jack white's playing - would love to hear him and slash together one day.
Am seeing them at Reading fest (hopefully if my tickets come through) - v up for seeing him play in a full band - i do love the Stripes live also though.

FUCK!!!  I was at Best Buy today and totally forgot the album came out today.  I got home and was so pissed at myself.  I like Jack White a lot.  He's a very, very good musician.  There aren't very many people coming out these days that are nearly as good as he is.  I might go catch a Raconteurs show in Cleveland this summer.  I need to go buy the fucking album though.

I really dig Broken Boy Soldier and Blue Vein.  The album is great even though it seems a little short time wise.

Haha, ya the live show is amazing compared to the album, eventhough I love the album very much. THe whole band is full of very talented musicians. I like that they do more solos in the songs live, they wanted to keep the album to the point and not make it boring, which I respect, but the solos live are awesome.

Great band and Jack White is probably one of the best "relatively new" musicians out there right now, especially so far in this millenium. I know, I know, the White Stripes first album came out in 1999, but still.

Nah, he's taking a break to do The Raconteurs, but he can't decide which band to record with next.

Hey Evolution, it's nice to see another Jack White fan around here besides myself. It's horrible trying to put up a fight for the guy at this forum.

If the music isn't from the 80's then mrlee doesn't like it. He probably hasn't even heard the band because he hasn't taken out his Warrant CD for 15 years. Sorry mrlee, I still love ya buddy.

jack white is one of the best guitarists out there today - live and recorded he plays and sings with so much passion and really amazing power.  see him live any time you can.  he gives me goosebumps.
