I think the movie may have troubles right now as the other is in court defending himself against copyright infringment. This will need to be sorted out first....i'm guessing.

Where does this rumor come from? Does it have a source (meaning someone's cousin heard a guy on a bus talk about his sister's boyfriend's college roomate saying GN'R would be on the Da Vinci Code soundtrack) or is another one of those rumors where GN'R gets attached to every major film release' soundtrack just because they did T2 and End of Days?

BINGO!!! that is what I am guessing, as for if Guns are on the soundtrack we probably wont know anything until at least some movie trailors start floating around.

the film will go ahead as planned, all that would happen if losing is some of the movie money will have to go to the other guys and not to dan brown, theres no way they would pull this movie now

Read an article off the CNN entertainment section yesterday about the suit. Seems this is not the first one and it will ahve no impact on the movies release at all. : ok:

The way the case is progressing, so far, it seems unlikely the judge will issue an injunction to stop the movie.

All it is is Eric's PGP key from mygnr.  Its nothing to get wound up over.  He explained it in a post over there that it was just something he was tinkering with.

Again, he said it has NOTHING TO DO with anything GNR related.

I just thought it was pretty cool, so I pointed it out. It would make sense for 'Prostitute' to be on the soundtrack being that it suggests Mary Magdalane was a prostitute in the book. Good book actually.

The film is airing WORLDWIDE on May 19th which is about 1 month from now and we still haven't heard whether or not GNR will contribute a song to the soundtrack.

why would we hear anything if they're not putting a song on the soundtrack?

Again, this is probably the typical major-movie-release-GN'R-on-soundtrack?-rumour that we get with every major motion picture release.

Guns n Neurosis is right........ The only ones who make those 'rumours' are the fans on these boards.

I just email them asking for confirmation regarding GNR status on the soundtrack.

I'm sceptical.  I can't really see how a Guns song, let alone a 'first single' Guns song, could fit with that film

well actually the guy who wrote the da vinci code has just got out of court over charges of plaguarism will may likely be the reason as, as a result the film had to be put into hiatus. It will be released on time now though as he won the case  :-*

The imdb listing for the soundtrack of the Da Vinci Code has been taken off, after being on there before. Don't know if that means anything.

those are just track names...no artists...some of those sound like they could be gnr tunes...

That's the Hans Zimmer score.

Here is info about the soundtrack for The Da Vinci Code.  I don't see anything about gnr.  It only contains the full score of Hans Zimmer.  Sometimes movies will have a soundtrack with the full score and then a couple of other songs by various artist (Example: Interview with the Vampire).  But this is only showing the score only.

Anyway, by now, on the www.davincicodemusic.com website we have up the an outside song "Celice" will be used along with the Zimmer soundtrack.

The "Celice" song is by A-ha, and is pretty good. This will be the second time A-ha is appearing on a major motion picture, the first was the theme song for the James Bond movie "The Living Daylights".

I work at a Sony Store, if it's coming out next week we'll get it in our shipments today. I'll look for it and try to post later today if something is on the tracklisting we should all get excited about!

I have a friend that can get a copy of the DVD before it hits theaters or the movie festivals (17th).  I'll let you know by the end of the weekend as to what is actually in the movie.

The only thing that makes me think there is something to this is the timing.

The movie is coming out in the same week as the NYC shows so it couldn't be better really....

How is this still an issue?  They won't be on the soundtrack.  Get a life people.

CTV in Canada is having a 2 hour speacial on The Da Vinci Code next week...

Could be nothing more than fuel to the fire, I know...but a soundtrack, a new TV special, and finally new Gn'R shows is kind of coincidental.. :peace:

That's the score. They may release a soundtrack of songs or a split soundtrack too. But there's no chance GNR will be on it anyway so.

It's not really coincidental at all. Things often happen at the same time.
