Not too sure I'd be a fan of that. ?I didn't pay to hear a bunch of songs I don't know. ?I don't mind a few songs from CD, but a whole show of CD songs would disappoint me.

What if they did a 3+ hour show?

CD bookended by all the classics you know and love?  So..an hour of classic GnR....play CD...and another hour of classic GnR?

I mean..of the reported 13 tracks on CD, there's a good possibility we know 7 of em (CD, Maddy, Blues, TWAT, IRS, CITR, Better)..which only leaves 6 songs we don't know.

Green day did it with American idiot and the crowds went nuts....

hell, I would be happy with 8 new tunes and a dozen classics, mixed in with introducing a new guitarist and axl addressing the crowd with humor and some tidbits of new info

if you'll get a show full of songs from cd be prepared to have a very close release date. axl knows how fast the bootlegs of gnr shows spread on the net. so he'll play a lot mote songs from cd once the album is really close of being released

CD won't be found at the merch tables, for obvious reasons.

I would love to see at "GN'R in N.Y. 2006" box set containing all the shows released in the future.

Be outside the Hammestein on Monday, the 15th.  You might not get your boxed set, but it wouldn't shock me to see audio and video boots of Friday's and possibly even Sunday's shows.

it will be released between the monday 5/15 and wednesday 5/17 shows on a TUESDAY(5/16) like every other cd. watch for meet and greet at tower records(no axl though). my uncle is an exec for tower records.

Man it would rock but hate to say it, It ain't gonna happen.  i wonder if axl would really suprise release the cd?  I really don't think that would make any sense for him to do that.  Seriously the whole world has such in interest as to what the fuck this cd is.

they'll be all kinds of boots, you can count on it,  it would be smart of axl to release it to coincide with the tour because of that.  poeple wouldn't bother as much with the boots if they could get the real thing.  boots of shows are kinda cool, but i would much rather have something official, with good sound quality.  i don't really see how people listen to boots, the poor sound quality drives me up a flippin' wall and i have to turn it off.  and that coming from a girl that was raised in the static-y vinyl album days!

will it be on merch tables.........highly unlikely, but would be oh so cool if it were!  someone else mentioned this, or giving them out when you came in the doors, ONE per ticket holder.  and maybe, just maybe, the overly excited guns fans wouldn't riot over them, since everyone would get one. lmao.  the idea of a "tour only" disc would be really cool, and axl wouldn't loose money, since we would all go out and buy the "store" version once it came out too.

Yeah, if we don't get the CD at the first shows, I'm hoping that they announce that we'll be able to buy the CD first thing Tuesday morning.

I firmly believe that 24 hours after the May 12th show basically every fan of every Guns board will have the release date of 'Chinese Democracy' in their sig. Or a quote from Axl like 'We're working on 42 songs now and 36 are done... so not long.'

I just want to hear 'I.R.S' live. Please for the sake of us all... someone bootleg the show.

I am 100% positive that bootlegs will be ALL over the internet of all four of these shows as soon as they're over.

When I went to see Prince on his last tour, they handed out a copy of the new CD to every ticketholder that entered the arena which was a surprise. Something like that would be great.

Not to get off topic, god forbid ::), but with the Prince tour it was announced before the tour started that he would be doing that. Still a cool move though.

Most you could probably hope for at the NY shows is MAYBE a CD sampler, like a 2 or 3 track deal.

Oh christ, I couldn't even imagine! I'm sure even the shirts from the NYC shows (if they have just those shows listed) will go for alot.

This is how the riot will start:

At some point during the show Axl will walk off stage and return a few minutes later holding a CD case. He will look into the crowd for a few minutes, raise the microphone to his mouth and say "This is what you have been waiting for.", and toss the case into the crowd. The rest you will see on the morning news :hihi:

I doubt any music will be given out. Lets get real people. It's Axl Rose, he won't release any music till the CD is done and as close to perfect as he can get in his own mind.

i have my shirt from 2002, but it's like way too big!  concert shirts never fit me right, too big and boxy.  i hope they have some girlie shirts at these shows, a shirt i will actually wear.

Yeah he mentioned it when he spoke about RIR '06. With the small Hammerstein dates, the big overseas dates, and now opening for the Rolling Stones (could you imagine Axl agreeing to open for anyone?!)...I'm gonna say this is the closest we will get to Chinese Democracy coming out

No. Nothing at all yet. We're just going on the assumption that they'll come back here after the European tour like they did in 02.

I don't think, after the leaks, the record company are gonna be too happy to give out anything new to a small group of people, because, in the age of global internet access, there is no "small group of people".

Yeah a single would own.  It couldn't hurt the band or sales of CD in anyway.

nah, if anything it would decrease the number of copies they sell. if they hand it out at the door and lets say its scheaduled for release a month or two later, then the few people that did get there hands on cd would spread around the internet or burn it and give copies to there friends.

Prince on his tour a couple years back gave away a CD with the purchase of a ticket-Cd was given at concert, and I think it was counted as far as soundscan sales go, which may have been his motive-other than that, I don't think that trend will catch on-really nothing to gain other than some publicity for doing it-I highly doubt the label would go for it-come to think of it, Prince might even have his own label anyway.

They did count those sales but they've since changed the rule about how you count sales.

If I were Axl I would give out something on the last NY show.  So, by the time GNR cross the Atlantic, the fans would be twice as excited as they are now and the tour would be a huge success!  ('Cause if this european tour turns out to be lame, Axl is sooooo over.) :( :( :(

What I am curious about is how the previously used "Chinese Democracy" name/theme will prevail as a theme in the stage design / merchandise etc.
The 02 tour was called the Chinese Democracy World Tour.... and the chinese style lettering used etc...

How about playing short bits....like teasers.... of a few songs while the crowd waits for the show to start. I bet you would hear a pin drop with everyone trying to hear the songs. Good way to create a buzz for the crowd to talk about after the shows.

i think a disc with better, twat, and irs would be cool ... or how about just selling CD for 30 bucks at the shows?

It probably wouldnt happen, but they have done it before. When I saw them in '93 at the Dean Dome in NC, they mixed in "Since I Dont Have You" with the other songs that were played while the stage was set up for GnR. This was well before The Spaghetti Incident was even mentioned, let alone released.

Would be teasing the audience quite a bit which is pretty out of order since we have all been waiting so long.

I just hope that they switch the setlist.  I don't want to see the same concert 4 times.  NY is too expensive to be redundant.
