Tommy and Paul Westerberg will both be appearing on Jim Rome's nationally syndicated radio show "The Jungle" Thursday, May 4.

Jim said they'd be debuting the new Replacement's single and discussing other things as well.

Not really, Rome's a huge "Mats fan and has had both Paul and Tommy on in the past.

And yes, Rome's? based in LA.

And if the band is indeed rehearsing in LA, it makes sense that he could easily take 1/2 day off to do the promo work with Paul.

And for what it's worth, I confirmed this weekend that Tommy will indeed be playing with GnR on tour. Not that we didn't already assume this was true.

So none of you would tink it weird if Whaxl just cut a single with Slash & starts doing some promo work for it a week before fakeGNR starts touring? Tommy has stated before if the money was there, he'd be down for a 'Mats reunion, ala The Pixies.

I do not think that Tommy or management would go to all the trouble of helping make a Mats  hits CD and doing a single without a little Advertising or PR'ing of some sort. I think he did Rome cause they are friends, it would be a easy place to throw a plug out before he left to go to N.Y. I do not see it as any deal. I am a huge fan of Guns and I think all is well. I just believe from helping make that new song on CD that Tommy probably wants to finish out his think by telling others about his song and honoring his prior commitments. We will def. hear about GN'R also so that will be cool. Even if its only to hear about the dates we already know. Tommy is a very interesting person. I have always enjoyed his body of work so he will have great Mats info and I bet a tad bit of Guns too. If someone that day could possibly put the transcripts up or the highlights that would be appreciated thanxs.

I never said we'd get answers regarding Gn'R but Roem pulls no punches. If he feels like it he'll ask about it. The Replacements are Rome's all tiem favorite abnd so he may just stick to that. They're coming out witha  greatets hits album so... I wouldn't doubt Soul Asylum gets mentioned as well. A few weeks back the show kinda got away from Rome and they talked alot about The Replacements, Soul Asylum and a bit of GnR and Axl.  It's gonna be cool.

You can find Rome's show, on various ESPN affiliate, streaming on the net live.  You may have to hunt, a bit, because many of the affiliates delay his show.

Tommy sounded completely out of it. It was like pulling teeth to get a response out of him (and I'm not talking about GNR). He is either an idiot or was angry about being there. Very uncool.

He should be thankful that someone with Rome's influence is out there touting his new product with the Replacements. He could show his thanks by giving interesting answers (again I'm not talking about GNR).

I wouldn't be surprised if Guns' management has put the muzzle on all the members right now. I'm sure they want to be 100% in control of all media access and coverage with regards to the tour. Four New York shows sold out in 3 minutes, a great Rolling Stone article about the leaks, a line-up shrouded in mystery and speculation, and now two dates with the fucking Rolling Stones... they're probably pretty happy about where the GN'R machine sits right now... and they wouldn't some careless comment by Tommy or Dizzy to fuck everything up.... ?

becasue it had nothing to do with Gn'R . It was promo for the new replacements Greatest hits album. PLus Rome's favorite band of all time is The Replacements.  Tommy sounded like an idiot. A complete lack of ability ot give a decent interview and Paul Westerberg is a fuckhead.  Like Rome said it was the record label   who asked for this interview and it was the WORLD PREMIER of the fisrt new Replacements song in 16 years. You think Westerberg woudl've pulled his head outta his ass and appreaciated the fact that Rome was more than willing to help promote this thing to millions of people.  Acting like a Rock Star when you're in your 20's is cool but when you're in your 40's it'snothing short of simply being an asshole.  Rome was pissed and rightfully so.

since when being in a RnR band is like National Security matter!? he is in S.A album i can see his picture in there as the forth member. whats more official then that. can somebody show me,something as official as that one, that he is in GNR also( im not saying that he is not in GNR) ??? how hard is for him to say that "It wont be a mats reunion coz of GNR happenings". this is just fucked up keeping fans in the dark. whats the big deal we'll now in a week anyway. it shows that GNR is AXL and thats it the rest are just employees.
