over at mygnr.com it's an everyday thang to see sarcastic threads or post of the type "chris pittman = god" or more often, "chris pittman = gnr", and i have seen similar posts on this forum. how can you, as guns n' roses fans, hate on a longtime member of the band? obviously he's important or axl wouldn't keep him, plus i have a feeling we will really see what he's made of when chinese democracy drops. in the meantime, if you don't care for silkworms (which i personally like the keyboard/synth work in), check out catcher in the rye. his work there is awesome. stop the hate or find another band.

People don't hate him they are either having a joke or trying to work out what roll he plays.

No body is 'hating' him. What your on man? Only on mygnr.com there are those silly threads. Mods are trying to keep it clean here and doing a good job. Pointless to dedicate a topic to people who 'hate' Pittman, no one does.

For the love of God not everyone will like who is int he band. Everyone has their own thoughts on each player.. If you dont like it then post and try and change their minds. Bitching about it won't do shit.

you should hear some of his music... the replicants and lusk are poppy but cool.. they have an interesting vibe.. ZAUM is more electronic and progressive but is cool also

well, if you choose to dislike a factor of the band then you are not a fan of certain elements of the band. you are still a guns n' roses fan but axl would like to see us embrace the new line up and give them a chance, and that's what you should do. i'm sure you will realize your mistake further down the road, when chinese democracy is here.

I'm sure you will relize that people have different tastes and not everyone will think CD is the sound of the second coming. Pittman isn't a big anough factor to worry about.

Alot of classic fans aren't excited about synth and piano...I'm not....but I have witnessed what pittman is capable of in the studio so I am intrigued as to what he will bring to GnR....but we don't know what that is yet....

and assumptions don't fly well either. We have no idea who is on the demos...hell it could be the OMG band from end of days...you can't say he's great listen to this he might not be on it....see what I'm saying man? :peace:
