One of my best friends is the head of advertising for a rock radio station in Point Pleasant , New Jersey . WRAT . We got to talking about GnR the other day and he said something like , "So I geuss you've heard the rumors about Lenny Kravitz huh?" . I said "What the hell are you talking about?" . He says "I've been hearing for like the last 3 weeks that he is going to be the new GnR lead guitarist" . I laughed at him , but he was being serious . If it was anybody else I wouldn't have thought twice about it . But he WROKS for a RADIO STATION , so maybe theres some truth to this , I don't know , It doesn't make any sense to me , Kravitz has no place for GnR , but he certainly would be a "surprise" .

i think it would be pretty cool, but i dont know about his commitment to being in a band, and hes not goign to want answer to axl whenever he needs.

Working at a radio doesn't mean he knows anything. Not to mention this is just common sense. Why would you replace Buckethead, the most technically accomplished guitarist in the new band, with a guy who is probably two or three steps below Finck of Fortus.

AND The main reason (above other things) I just don't believe this is Lenny is going to be one of the producers working on Libertad/Libertide (VRs next album), so I doubt in between GnR gigs he's going to be producing VR at the same time  : ok: And above anythink he is a solo artist and just wouldn't fit right in GnR

If Lenny K. is the new guitarist I will official renounce GNR all together. Axl's band members now are suspect at best, but Lenny K. would be just too much, plus the guy is no lead guitarist.

i just talked to someone at krock radio and said that it will be guest guitarists at each show until the debut of jack black at rio. no joke!

i dolnt like lenny much...finck and richard can def pull it off and put on a kick ass show! But i know the surprise line up is not the old one and has nothing to with any of them. They left axl why would he want them back. I mean they have a big future making dance music and hip hop now. if theres a surprise then its a new guitar player maybe that john 5 or someone else but NOT slash.
