The other thread could be a bit more descriptive though! Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: Origen on April 23, 2006, 07:04:35 PM Not the same. Ah yes so it is, he doesn't even mention new york though!, well spotted : ok: Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: gnr_12 on April 23, 2006, 07:05:11 PM Id like to hear one or two acoustics per album.. its what makes GNR so diverse.. would be nice.. maybe an acoustic blues or CITR would be cool as a bonus track!

Ah yes so it is, he doesn't even mention new york though!, well spotted : ok: Yes the New York bit was assumptive as he spoke about intimate venues. I know for sure that Rock in Rio is not intimate. However an acoustic song that is literally just acoustic guitar and vocals isn't really what i'd want on this album. Remember 'You Aint The First'?? Filler at it's worst ?
Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: Verse Chorus Verse on April 23, 2006, 08:39:14 PM No, maybe something more along the lines of Paitence, memorable like that, not the crap fest known as "You Ain't the First."

Oh yeah, the acoustic songs from 'Lies' were great and are still classics to this day, but that was 1988 and Axl's all into his pro tools and shit these days. The new songs sound so textured, there's a lot going on in them. I can't see a basic acoustic song appearing on Chinese Democracy, nothing we have heard thus far leads me to believe we will anyway. Filler at it's worst  Wanna know whats funny.. you aint the first woulda been one of the best songs on a lot of other bands CDS.. lol.. its a good song, but not compared to the other GNR tunes.. seriously though.. that song would be good on another bands album! Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: Stonerose on April 23, 2006, 10:15:58 PM i love you aint the first, always have.
Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: Ax on April 23, 2006, 10:43:38 PM I would be really suprised if there were any simple acousitic songs on Chinese Democracy. Based on what we've heard so far it would seem very out of place in relation to the other tracks and not in line with Axl's current musical style. Then again, Axl has described the cd as being a melting pot of a whole bunch of styles that will have something for everyone, so who knows.
Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: WARose on April 24, 2006, 08:16:14 AM twat and IRS feature a lot of accoustic guitar work by the way
i don`t want any pure accoustic songs on CD, but some little tidbits here and there are cool.... i guess we might get some accoustic versions as b-sides anyways : ok: Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: shaun on April 24, 2006, 08:41:11 AM i dont want an acoustic side to the album. there's always time for an acoustic gig, MTV unplugged or somthing, although i cannot see that happening until long after CD and Gn'R are old and grown up enough to patch up their differences and we'll see Axl and Slash share the same space ;D
Title: Re: Acoustic side of Chinese Democracy Post by: Verse Chorus Verse on April 26, 2006, 11:24:17 PM Yeah, an 80 year old Slash, Axl, Sorum, and Izzy rocking so lethargically a single note is played every few minutes. Imagine WTTJ...
