nope, it does the same thing on both side, it's the just the bright highlight on the guns' canons.

I like the new logo better, combines the past with the present ( or recent past from 2002). Kinda fitting I think.

Its the barrel of the gun that doesnt line up straight, not the star line.  I think its alright, i like how they incorporated the guns and roses, but i like the 2002 star better

I think the new logo looks pretty cool. I'd like to see it in a bigger form and higher resolution though.

I'd like it more if it said "GUNS N' ROSES" instead of "G&R", which is incorrect anyway. I don't like the font either.

Someone already said logo for m2002 meshed with the original logo. There is nice neutral colors, it makes the roses really stand out. and the distresseed look to the stars and letters says (to me anyway) that the GnR name has been bruised and beaten, but it's still going, and, at the same time the antique look is very fashionable these days.

So it's old school, but modern. : ok:

Yes, that?s because it?s an "&", wich really is a ligature of an e and a t, as "et" is latin for "and".

assuming this is official, and i believe it probably is, i think it's solid- i'm glad they didnt do away with the star concept design, which i really liked.OTOH, i'm glad they added an element of the old in to make it a little more identifiable with the guns name.

I actually think that it might be official because it is up on ticketmacter.ie when you search for GnR tickets..... This is a big ticket service...... Why would they be putting up a supposudly fake unofficial logo.... I mean that doesnt really make sence does it?

I like it more then the over clean looking logo on the official web site. Mixing the old with the new and making in the new logo G&R bit look worn out and aged works really well. Is it official?

I'm a designer and normally you get all the logo's and stuff sent to you. and when did that logo started to surface? Anyone know?

I think it looks cool but it's a bit too dark where the guns are. It's hard to see them but I like the idea of combining the oldl ogo with the Chinese Democracy font and I like the way G  & R is worn out. Makes it look gritty.  This logo is of course only a demo though.  :hihi:

They used the new logo (found it somewhere probably on one of the newspapers mentioned before) and worked on photoshop with the hiroshi font, which only has small letters, not capital, that's why "guns n roses online" is only in small letters.  ;)


Then the person (who can obviously work photoshop really well, judging also from the site) used some effects to make the small letters look like the capitals. I've seen this a million times at my work.

However the logo is official.

I like the new logo..I've had the 2002 star logo poster hanging on my wall since 2002, but this new one is much better.

I just checked the official site (gnronline) and the old logo seems to be exactly the same as this without the online.

Very weird...

    sorry if i posted in the wrong section...(and yes, i did do a search, but it didn't really help).

    so, I remember seeing on the net (can't find it anymore) a forum/site that had fairly high-res images of the new logo (on a red, as well as on a black background).
   
    does anyone have these babies handy? i'm thinking of making myself a shirt for the NY concert, and i gotta work on a design.

I think this is the best logo they've come up with yet  8)  I hope they do have shirts with it in New York.

Maybe I am going mental here but the background of the star on the new GnR logo looks mighty like the style and colouration of the Da Vinci Code front cover! I did have a very heavy night last night so maybe I have lost the plot a little but looking at logo it just got me thinking if there was a link to it and the rumour about the band being on the soundtrack! But I guess why would a band have a colour of the books frontcover for a soundtrack they are doing on their logo? I guess I have lost the plot today, back to bed I guess! Mike?
