It looks like he's selling the 11am-1pm password, not the 9am-11am. At least, his description says 11-1.

Don't worry too much guys, don't let these assholes get you down, I think this will all work itself out.
It's out of our control anyways, everyone just do you part and buy as many extra tickets as you can to sell to the board. Hopefully, something is in the works behind the scenes to solve this. ;D

That's a great sentiment, but having everyone buy 4 tickets that only needs 1-2 is only going to increase the temptation to pawn the extras off on Ebay where you know they will inevitably be selling for anywhere from 200-500 dollars each come show time. That type of cash would pay for people's trips coming from out of town. I may be wrong, but I have a very hard time seeing people selling extras to people on the board for 60, when there is an avenue available that could net 10 times that.

I am be wrong, but I just can't see people doing that in practice the way they say they would on a message forum. Too much potential profit involved.

Well,

I plan on having at least 4 extra tickets... 2 to each show, they'll be for sale at face value to people on this board. I don't care if someone offers me $200.00 via email who isn't on the board, my extras will go to people on this board for the face value+the shipping/surcharges I had to pay. You can count on that.

MI-

I was getting at you, you have been real stand-up and helpful about everything. I was just saying you may be the minority in regards to people who actually follow through on what you're promising to do. Given we're talking about such a small pot of tickets it only makes each one bought up become that more scarce and that much more valuable.

Your right, with all the good will in the world when people see the tickets going on ebay for $300 selling them to a board member becomes a lot less appealing.

As I stated previously in this topic, the guy on Ebay is listing a password for the 11-1 presale NOT the 9-11. Unless he wrote the description incorrectly (he does have the wrong concert dates, he put the 15th & 16th, not the 17th), he doesn't have the password for the GNR board members.

Mr Intensity has taken alot of shit on this board, and I have given him some too. I don't need tickets, so I am not kissing ass... but it is pretty nice of him to still be so cool to everyone when so many were dicks to him.

I think this at least earns him the a significant portion of the Integrity so many people said he lacked.

Correct.

One "prepresale", which is what our password is for, from 9 AM to 11 AM on Thursday.

One presale from 11AM to 1 PM (and no, I don't have the password for that one yet), also on Thursday.

Official on sale date of Friday at 10 AM.

:)

Honestly guys, I've never had a problem with any of you.... it has never mattered to me whether you believed some things I said or not. You should always be entitled to your own opinion. One thing that is for certain is no matter how much I have argued with any of you... I still know you're all here for the same reason that I am.

Which is because you are a fan of one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time.

I know what it feels like to sometimes be ridiculed by music snobs for still supporting Axl, I know how it feels to retire from the message board for a month only to come back and hope there is news that C.D is finally being released, I know how it feels to want to see Axl return to glory so you can tell all those fucks who doubted him to "fuck off."

I'm happy that we are all coming together and that we will all do our best to make sure everyone gets their chance to see Guns N Roses in New York. I look forward to meeting all you gunners at the pre-party. :peace:

I just can't stress enough to you guys.. buy as many tickets as you can. It is likely that we will be competing against Scalpers as they are salivating at the chance to take advantage of us fans. I know some of you may be hard up for money, so if that is an issue I will buy whatever tickets you have extra off of you, I'll pay you the money within 5 days of the presale, or team up with Illusionone and put the gunners on this board looking for tickets in contact with you.

I will create a thread if need be, where you can all list the amount of tickets you have sold to me which would let the board know how many I should have available. I would then post who I sold the tickets too and you could verify I sold them at face value to them.

We can all make this work if we look out for one another.

Hopefully, management will change the password and come up with a more creative way to distribute it to us fans. Mysteron hasn't posted in a while so maybe certain ideas are being discussed. :peace:

Title: Re: The SCUM on EBay:

That's exactly what I was imagining ....
I have a feeling that the 11-1 password is the one that was posted on the livenation website when we all thought there was only one presale for us. ?IF I don't get tickets during the first presale, i'm going to get them during the second one, trying that password. (I'm not posting it just cause a) I'm not sure its the real one and b) most people have seen it/can guess it)

and yes MI, I'll be getting 4 tickets for the first show for sure. I may try to get more if I have people helping me.

:)

And, if Mr. I sends it along to me around that time, I'll help distribute it "viral PM" style. ?That'll help take a bit of the load off his PM box. ? I'm sure others will volunteer to help out, as well. ?He can post a list of who he's sent it along to that's willing to help out with the distribution (or we can, here...whichever) so people have options and we can get the pw out as quick as possible.

Keep in mind, I'm assuming if Mr I does this, he's going to want some sort of "verification" done on people (for example, checking to make sure you registered more than a few days ago)...but that's just a guess.

I don't know if it is really illegal. But I reported it as if it was illegal. If everybody does the same thing, I think it will get pulled for them to look into it.

As long as we can get it pulled for investigation we win.

I encourage everybody to report this!

I love when people say "sit tight." ?OK, I missed the whole presale thing, now apparently I'm shit out of luck because I wasn't on this board for one day. ?

So I'm just supposed to throw my hands in the air and say "Oh well, I'll let everyone else buy tickets through the presale, because I'm a nice guy?" ?Fuck that. ?I have to find a different way to get it, and I did. ?And I'm hoping that the other people who are in the same situation that I am have the same luck.

Sorry, but I'm bitter right now because I missed this, and no one will give me the password, even though I've been on this site virtually everyday for the past three years, but no one trusts me enough to pass it along. ?(Even though I've asked several people.)

BK, sorry to sound like an asshole, but it's not our fault.  I'd love to give you the password, but it makes no sense for us to give out the password to anyone who wants it.  There was a time limit for the pre sale and that's done so you missed out.  Hopefully someone will have extra tickets for you but if not then that's the way it works.  The pre sale is already so fucked that I'm scared of not getting tickets and I'm part of the pre sale.

No, that's totally cool.  I even understand, I guess.

My point was that people shouldn't criticize those who missed out, and have to find a different way to get the password.  There's a lot more fans out there than just people on a couple of message boards.

Yes there are alot of fans, even many diehards, but the point of the presale was in fact forum members, not anyone who is a big fan. And i do think they gave us plenty of notice to sign up, and the fact is alot of us will miss out on tix anyways.

We should discuss any password change strictly through pm.

Chaos and Drama.

Just as I had predicted.  If at 9am tomorrow the password I legitimately signed up for doesn't work........add me to the list of the pissed.

yeah looks like people are scalping the other two shows too.

i tell you what though, the number of tickets floating around for these as compared to the other two shows is a lot less, so i would consider their presale tactics the second time around a huge success.

Here's the thing about the presale:

I first was introduced to this website like a week ago and when I saw everyone's posts about the presale and passwords and all that, I was thinking to myself, "WTF?! I'm a huge guns and roses fan too, how come I'm not entitled to a password?!"

I think there are plenty of die hard fans who don't even know about this site who feel neglected from the presale. After all, it's not like heretodaygonetohell is an official fan club or anyone is paying dues to belong here; it's a free community. So if people were upset that they didn't get a password (like me lol) I can totally understand. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great a tight, fan community like this one had access to GNR tix before the masses, but it doesn't make people who were denied the presale any less dissapointed.

If this were the official GNR fan club and everyone was paying $50 a year to belong and THEN there was presale for fan club members only, it's more understandable. But when a presale is offered to members of a free board, it's a whole different ball game. But I'm glad that die hard GNR fans were able to get a shot at tix first, makes the show more fun anyway.

...I'll get off my soapbox now : ok:
