Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: AXL 20 on April 11, 2006, 12:00:41 PM cool. I was wondering about that when i wathced one of his lessons on tv. that explains that better still has bh's guitar on it.
Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: Layne Staley's Sunglasses on April 11, 2006, 01:35:14 PM Hmm...interesting. I had never seen anyone with that ever, until his lessons. And you know the part in Better, about 2:30 on? I think he uses it.
Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: Thorazine Shuffle on April 11, 2006, 03:35:08 PM I read a few years back that he had Gibson custom-make this guitar at a larger scale because he's so big. It's longer than a regular LP. But I don't think it's a baritone, although I could be wrong.

And you know the part in Better, about 2:30 on? I think he uses it. Tom Morello uses a kill switch a LOT. he doesn't have a button thing like Bucket though, but an actual switch. you can get the same effect with a regular Les Paul if you turn off the volume on one of the pickups, and flick the pickup selector back and forth, but it's easier with a button thing like Bucket has. Buckets white LP looks fuckin awesome IMO! Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: Layne Staley's Sunglasses on April 11, 2006, 06:58:57 PM Yeah, at the end of the Godfather theme, Slash would do that (flipping the switch) That is an awesome looking guitar, a nice solid color. It looks like a giant cake.

It's longer than a regular LP.? But I don't think it's a baritone, although I could be wrong. his jackson flyin v has a custom made body, a bigger body, to avoid the contrast between a small body and his big hands. Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: MeanBone on April 21, 2006, 07:32:37 AM finck has at least one goldtop with a killswitch to. it's an easy mod to a guitar and comes in handy in live situations. many players have it.

Yea thats pretty noticable. I would assume the same thing for his LP. Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: Howard2k on April 22, 2006, 08:39:32 PM didnt ace frehely have an on/off switch that obviously has teh same effect? I believe he had the volume right down on one pickup and up on another. I could be wrong though. Actually I think he's just had his pickup selector moved because it got in his way. But, I could be wrong. Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: Layne Staley's Sunglasses on May 02, 2006, 11:14:59 PM Are they manufactured by Gibson that way or is it a special modification?

Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: Thorazine Shuffle on May 03, 2006, 09:41:22 AM Are they manufactured by Gibson that way or is it a special modification? It's a special mod, and a cool one at that. Actually I think he's just had his pickup selector moved because it got in his way. But, I could be wrong. no I think you're right. there's nothing on top of his guitar where the pickup selector usually is. it's just like a black spot there. I think he's got it placed where the bridge pickup volume knob is usually placed. Title: Re: Bucketheads White Les Paul Post by: TheMole on May 26, 2006, 07:01:43 AM I've got a 1979 Gibson The Paul, where the pickup selector is placed near the volume and tone knobs, so I guess there were Gibsons made with the pickup selectore near the bridge.
