I refuse to believe every half-cocked idea on here about conspiracy theories, but this is really really strange.
No way they would have used an image THAT OLD to promote the new GnR unless there was a reason behind it.
Unless it's a really shoddy, unprofessional and clueless promoter putting it together, there would be no reason in the world to use that image and crop it that way.
This is really ridiculous.
And it's all being done because
a) Axl is tempermental and can't decide on anything
or
b) Legal issues may still be keeping an announcement from being made
Regardless, this will give a LOT of fans the assumption that Slash and Duff will be performing, even if it's not true.

Odd for 2 reasons, at the risk of stating the obvious:

1) No new members of gnr shown at all. Surely the promoters would have some knowledge of current line up.

2) Picture is deliberately cut to show just Ax, Slash & Duff

Strange, other shows have the "new" logo.
Either there incredibly sloppy or they received permission to use this one.
Doesn't make sense, an average fan might think the old band is back together, that's misleading.
They do mention in the press release for the Nijmegen show that the line up beside Axl will be announced in the near future ?::)
Marketing wise it could have been better then what's out there right now.

The interesting part is that they cut Izzy and Steven out of the pic...surely it's BS, but a cunning move from the promoters

If you go to "evenementen" (which means events) you can see the old logo and the new and Axl in between.

Ok let me tell you the story.
The webmaster from that site didn't had a pic from the new band, he asked for some pics which i gave him.
He didnt use them all, but made a "new" one out of some pics i've send him
Obviously he "forgot" to put a new one at the homepage.
And this is not the website from the concertpromotor, cause that's www.mojo.nl

I hope Axl gets his shit together quick because this second comeback is looking more and more like the first go around in 2002. If Axl wants this thing to work he needs to start acting like a real band and tell his fans who is in the band, when the album is coming out and actually post tour dates on an official website. I had seriously hoped that Axl had learned his lesson from 2002 and would not make the same mistakes again, but I'm seeing no evidence of that yet. I know that there's still time left before the tour, but that time is running out at a rapid pace.

Not only does management need to confirm a line-up, they need confirm that Guns n Roses is in fact a function entity, that all these shows are real, that there is an album coming sometime in the next decade, etc, etc. Not calling any promoter or anyone else a liar, but info needs to come from management at some point to let us know that it is in fact official.

If there wasn't a band intact, then why would all these promoters confirm their prescene on these shows.

He doesn't need to do anything, tickets are selling fine... so here is what needs to happen.

Axl Rose and the 2002 version of gnr -buckethead need to show up on time the entire tour. I can see him possibly making an announcement once the tour schedule is complete and and confirming who the 3rd guitarest is maybe.

That's all that really needs to happen.

Chinese Democracy should be released right before or during the tour as well.. why does he have to give a date? So more people will scramble to leak tracks before the album drops??? Axl is making a good business decision to not give a release date.

Merck said we'll have a statement in "due course." If the tour scheduling isn't finished then it's not time for a statement yet and we definitely don't need a statement addressing a rumor as stupid as Duff/Slash coming back. I'd say Axl's statement in the lawsuit should tell you all what you need to know.

I agree! So many people (aside from us followers) still think Slash and Duff are in Guns N Roses, posting a picture of the old guys promotiing a show is just plain wrong. All it will do is cause confusion with those going to the show having no idea who those guys on stage are. Hell look at the confusing it can cause on the boards.
I think it is due time to release a statement, saying shows are being set up and what to exspect. It doenst have to be anything pretty just give people some insite of whats going on.
