Title: What's really left to wait for?
Post by: dpalm69 on March 28, 2006, 05:11:35 PM
If you think about it for a moment - We've already heard at least half of the new album. If you're really itching to hear Chinese Democracy why don't you simply burn a CD with decent copies of "The Blues", "Chinese Democracy", "Madagascar", "Silk Worms", "TWAT", "Better" & "IRS". You now officially have at least half of the album. Personally I don't think there's going to be anything in the half that we haven't heard yet that's going to blow us away anymore then the stuff we've already heard. You might as well stop waiting and start rocking to what we've already got which is some pretty decent tracks.

Silkworms will not be on Chinese Democracy.

Madagascar and The Blues will be amazing in the studio.

I heard Prostitute and The General were "big guns"

Since there are 3 CDs, who knows how they will be divided up.

Silk Worms wont be on the ablum. And whats left to wait for is the finished product and the songs we dont have. Most of the leaks will prob sound different.. Maybe they all wont make the final cut. You do not know what Axl will choose.. So keep waiting.

Again, 3 albums is a rumor.

it has already been stated that silkworms is not on CD.

ofcourse that does still give us seven songs. but if the 3 cd rumor is true then who knows which album(s) those seven are on. in which case we could have heard some, or none of the actual cd.

you registered to start a thread like this? ?:o

A. I want the real tracks, not demos
B. I want album tracks, not live bootlegs
C. I want the other tracks that have yet to be leaked or played live

pretty simple.

Worst Thread EV-ER.
You really think the album is going to made up of only the leaks we heard, in similar sound quality and arrangement. For phucks sake, the CITR leak was at least 5 years old.

We're still waiting for the song that Axl has sex with a prostitute on.

Who knows what's going to be on this album, ?when the new songs were played in 02 Axl said CD would have 18 songs and the songs that they were going to play on that tour were songs that wouldn't be singles just album tracks. Since then it appears CD is now a 13 track album so it's a reasonable assumption that some of the weaker songs or 'songs that wouldn't be put out as singles' would be trimmed from that original set of 18. The only songs we can realistically guess at being on CD are Better, The Blues, TWAT and probably IRS and Chinese Democracy. It's not shaping up to be too shabby eh? ?: ok:

3,,, you can't even get one... I can't even believe one is coming with the way things are going.. I mean I can believe one exists, I just can't imagine hearing a release date....

I owuldnt count on any but the 3 Axl mentioned to RS recently being on the album

I really hope they leave off Madagascar and IRS

so-so songs, certainly not "big guns" or the earth shattering sound we've been promised

I am fine with The Blues, Better (although the more I listen, the more the version we have sounds like dated late 90's nu-metal style) CITR, CD and TWAT. These are all quality through and through.

So hopefully we've only heard 5 of the 13

Madagascar is one of the best new songs and its one of the best gnr songs ever made. IRS they can leave off, its my least fave of the songs next to silkworms

well, I know some people here love it, but I am squarley in the camp that calls it a plodfest.
Earnest, self-referential, knowingly ironic and perhaps most damning of all, dated and unoriginal sounding.
It's not terrible, its just very average and stock sounding circa '96
