Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Siliconmessiah on March 11, 2006, 10:28:58 AM From babelfish. It surely has errors, but anyway, here it goes...
GUNS? N? ROSES: A Catalan promoter has confirmed to us that will come to Madrid and Barcelona. Not yet the contracts are closed totally, - lack the typical flecos of last hour -, but the dates are final of May. In Madrid they will touch right the day before THE ROLLING STONES, in the premises still to determine, that it could be the Palace of Glad Vista, but is not official. The date will be the 28 of May. The one of Barcelona still we do not know... the same promoter has confirmed to us that also comes other legendary ones: THE WHO, with Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend." Title: Re: Guns in Spain? GUNS? N? ROSES: A catalan promoter has confirmed us that they?ll come to Madrid and Barcelona. The contracts are not totally closed yet, - the tipical last details are still missing -, but the dates are set to the end of May. They?ll play in Madrid one day before The Rolling Stones, in a still unknown place, which could be the "Palacio de Vista Alegre", but it?s not official. This date would be May 28th. Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Hujiko on March 11, 2006, 11:02:11 AM woah, this are so fu***ng great news! : ok: :peace:
hi, i have been reading this forum long time ago, but I was to shy for registering, altough I hadn't anythin interesting to say, and of course, it's also the "engrish" problem. I'm from madrid, and as you'll notice I'm very hype about this rumour, hope it'll get confirmed sooner or later! the google translation it's well translated in my opinion. Palacio de Vistalegre it's located in the outskirts of madrid, but not so far. it's also the same place where the basketball parties of the real madrid are played. so, that's all folks. i'm so happy this is finally going to became true (the GN'R returning). congratulations jarmo for this killer gn'r site! Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: St_Jimmyuk on March 11, 2006, 11:13:31 AM so 2 spain dates? means might be more in uk and other places as well then wooo
Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Ignatius on March 11, 2006, 11:14:01 AM Amazing news! Hujiko is right, Vista Alegre is a great venue. It used to be a bull-ring, but then became the place where Estudiantes and then Real Madrid host their basketball games. Madrid hosts the city biggest music festival of the year in late may too...I hope it doesn't hurt GNR ticket sales. I'm so looking forward to this. Wonder how much the tickets will be...in 2001 the tickets were 30? a piece. Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: WARose on March 11, 2006, 11:15:05 AM this would mean that spain gets two shows.... i wonder if what happens in other countries then...
Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Hujiko on March 11, 2006, 11:37:01 AM but for the moment, it's only a rumour, and why should spains gets two shows instead of one like the other countries? that's what make me feeling skeptic :-\. but on the ohter hand, all the european dates begun as rumours :nervous: :smoking:
Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Gunnershome on March 11, 2006, 11:42:41 AM Maybie iam wrong but i dont think that there will be a gig the day after lisboa.because there mightby some technical/human problems after the first gig they do in 2006 and then they have some time to fix that sort of problems...mayby iam wrong and he is now doing that rehearsels..but just my thought
Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Christos AG on March 11, 2006, 12:56:55 PM Probably more dates are being scheduled, but are not final yet.
This is possibly the reason why we're not getting an official announcement yet. They wouldn't wanna announce for example 15 dates and then keep adding 1-2 everytime they are 100% sure. Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Voodoochild on March 11, 2006, 01:02:02 PM Well, they could announce the upcoming european tour AND the new album and then add the dates later. :(
Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Christos AG on March 11, 2006, 01:04:41 PM Well, they could announce the upcoming european tour AND the new album and then add the dates later. :( When you announce something like a new GN'R record after 13 you wanna make this massive. And what would be more massive than a full European tour? A mini festival tour in Europe announced won't create a buzz in the industry... Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: karlossacanell on March 11, 2006, 02:24:38 PM We are speculating about the possibility that the promoters have been told by the gnr managment a release date .... has anyone checked it contacting them? Just an idea

Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Christos AG on March 11, 2006, 08:17:15 PM for me a small venue it's like 3,000 people You must be joking... A Greek promoter was thinking of a small venue and he was thinking of a venue that holds 7.000 people. That's a small venue for Guns N' Roses. 3.000 is tiny... Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Title: Re: Guns in Spain? Post by: Rock the jungle on March 12, 2006, 12:24:41 PM I want a Barcelona GIG I'm from there!! I don't have enough money to go to Madrid or Somewhere else If they finally go to Barcelona they will go Palau Sant Jordi, they will not fill a full stadium... In Spain, at least in Catalonia, the culture of Guns N' Roses, is not so extended unfortunatelly.... :'(

I wouldn't confirm this 100%, but looks like it's gonna happen. Yes, there are online retailers where you can buy tickets online http://web.ticktackticket.com/ttt/minternet/pkg_home.ttt_home,? www.fnac.es and a few more. I will post the official links here before they go on sale. The venue kicks ass. Actually, I've never been there, looking forward to. As for the date, I don't really care cause I'm going, I'm just concerned it may not sell out weeks in advance cause Madrid's biggest music festival will take place around tha date. Title: Re: Madrid=Confirmed! Post by: Christos AG on March 21, 2006, 07:29:29 PM I guess somebody would.. that's why we have the audience boots we have today! Man that looks like an awesome venue. I am very jealous! Yes, ofcourse. If I wasn't from Greece and I was sure that everytime GN'R tour they'll come from Spain or UK, I'd grab a camera once in every 3 gigs, and film it. But since a gig in Greece is not going to happen, unless I win the lottery, I'd rather enjoy every second of the 2 concerts I'm about to see. Oh, make that 3 concerts. I wouldn't risk it either! And now you're just bragging  :'( :P And I got every right to, since it's the only thing I can do with the money I have at the moment... ;D so it's lisbon, madrid and ? And most probably Paris.
