Oh My Fuckin God!!! Amazing!!! I saw them at Globen 1991-08-16 and Olympic Stadium 1993-06-12 and had tickest both for Roskilde and Globen in 2001. Think I'm gonna settle for Globen this time, but who knows, maybe Helsinki. Hopefully theres no rush for the tickets at first. But I'm not gonna take any chances with this one. I'm calling in sick from work on the 9th of mars, thats for sure : ok: :peace: :beer: :drool:

Someone on a norwegian message board, told me that he has contacts in a booking-company. They said that they were in dialogue with GNR, and that they would agree or not in a few weeks...

They probably want to know how well they sell tickets in Sweden first.

Interesting to see how well the tickets will sell. Even though GNR hasn't been active in quite a while, I wouldn't be suprised if it gets (nearly) sold out. These past few years the Finns have been really active in attending gigs for some reason (e.g. Opeth booked a gig in Helsinki --> sold out --> booked another --> sold out --> booked a third date --> sold out as well :D).

Yeah, and Velvet Revolver sold out in less than 10min, so they moved the gig to bigger venue ---> sold out in 15min? I think that the tickets will sell very fast, so I'll go to get mine early in the morning :yes: They start selling at 9.00.

Yes, i have read this. It was Gunnar Eide Concerts i got info from last week, and they said they were in contact with the band.
And i think the "Dagbladet" info is a bit missleading. If u read the article from NRK they says that it still might happend.
So dont loose hope yet. It would be damn sad if they dropped out Norway, coz GNR has a great fanbase here...

I was at the "ticnet ombud" in Trollh?ttan, and after 4 minutes they couldn't order any floor tickets. A girl came in after 10 minutes and she could only get seat ticket.

I think its great news that the show sold out in under 10 minutes! Way to go guys! I hope all the shows sell out this will give the guys some confidence and some exposure and if they tour again in the US, I hope things sell a little better this time.

It should also be mentioned that on the EMA Telstar official website (Swedish booking agency that booked GN'R), it says that "according to plans, Chinese Democracy is slated for release in 2006".

I wrote Gunnar Eide Concerts yesterday, got my reply today.... I basically asked if they were aware of they quickly sold-out show in Stockholm, and this should refuel negotiations for Guns in Norway.

1991 GNR was supposed to have only one show in Helsinki, but when it was sold out like ice cream in hell, they quickly added the second date. And there is room in the tour schedule on both sides of this gig to have another one this time, too. Or maybe they could move it to Olympiastadion and put about 20000 more tickets on sale...

I waited about 25 minutes until I get the tickets! Also I heard that the show was old out ( clock was about 9.15 ) , but the ticketsales person had printed out tickets already in the 9 clock and so I got three. So this is a very happy day

I was there 2 hours early to get my ticket, first in line but still didnt get to the floor!!!!!!! I got a seat in 109 row 5. Floor was sould out in less than a minute. They didnt have any floor tickets to sell in my ticketshop. The thing is that welldone sells most of the tickets to the companies, from 7000-9000k tickets about, and the rest of the is for the fans!!! And they have this club, when you join it, it costs you 50 euros and you get the chance to buy 2 tickets in advance to every possible show. This isnt fair in my opinion. So thats why there was tickest in huuto.net before they were even sold!! :rant:

I read somewhere that in some office there were 5 people on the phone and in internet at the same time trying to order tickets and oly one of them got tickets.....so that kinda sorts the thing out how rushed they were at lippupalvelu....And theyre internet sites go down immediately in occasions like this.

Unfortunately, that is not too uncommon. We have had a few cases of that in recent years. They buy up a lot of tickets and then sell them with a 300% mark-up. A Swedish tv show called "Plus" did an investigation into this and confronted a company guilty of, well, basically scalping tickets. Their defense was "we're doing it for the fans who couldn't get tickets."

Yeah, fans who couldn't get tickets because of bullshit companies like that. I forget the reason why they legally can get away with it.

I got mine from internet. Started to queue at 9.00 and got the tickets at 9.14 or so. No standing but seats at the back...
Now I just hope they show up, unlike Stockholm 2001 where the show was cancelled..

Does anyone know how much different firms have bought tickets to the first finnish Hartwall-areena gig? I mean, often it takes a lot of atmosphere away from the show, when different firms have bought like 2000 tickets and about 300 hundred men with suits will show up.

I was lucky enough to get 2 floor tickets for the second Helsinki show!  :smoking:

For the first gig we got upper section first row tickets at the other end of the arena and we were queuing them from 5:20 am and were the first ones in the row.  ::)

Since theyll be stuck in finland for a few days hopefully theyll have the guts to come out and party after the shows in somewhere downtown Helsinki.

Sedu Koskinen is opening a massive luxorious nightclub down town called the Lux, first of its kind in Finland. My hunch is that hes lobbying for the peeps to show up there after the show if there is any lobbying to be done.

Other options are the obvious ones, Kaivohuone or Lost & Found. Anyone in Helsinki-area wanna get networked with this idea: everyone goes to a club and if a gunner shows up texts everyone else?  :hihi: :rofl:
