Title: Freddie Mercury Tribute Song Requests
Post by: badapple81 on March 15, 2006, 07:58:24 AM
No longer have the clips. I am looking for:

Tie Your Mother Down (feat. Slash)
We Will Rock You (Axl)
Bohemian Rhapsody (Axl and Elton)

and also.. if anyone has:

I Want It All (just cos it rocks too!).

mp3 format is fine.

Thanks if anyone can help!

These are all on the DVD of the concert they released last year (or the year before), I've got the DVD and could copy it for you, but I'm not sure how to rip the audio to mp3.

I'm more after the GN'R performance of Paradise City, from what I remember of it, it's one of the best live versions of the song.

Yeah I have the DVD they released. Not sure which version you have but I didn't know one was released last year. This one is from 2002. Man that is one awesome show. I wish they released the bands performances   :(

Too Much Love Will Kill You is a brilliant song. I remember when it was a single and I was just getting into music at the time.. I thought it was one of the best songs out at the time.

As for George Michael touring with Queen.. sorry but I love Queen and hope the new line up visits Australia.. but I could never see them if George Michael was singing

Since I've been getting quite a few pm's lately asking if I could repost those Freddie mercury tribute videos I thought it would be a good idea to give this thread a bump so everyone can find it once again?

And here are some more videos from that concert:

Metallica - Nothing Else Matters (Freddy Mercury tribute)

Under Pressure - Bowie and Lennox (rehearsals)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VLS-P9m0BM&search=freddie%20mercury%20tribute

Innuendo (Queen + Robert Plant) (Too bad that they didn't include this one on the dvd since it's the only time they've played it live, anyone know why it wasn't included? ) IMO He completely butchers the song?

It isn't exactly a performance but at the end when liza minelli sings we are the champions, Axl and Duff (and right at the end Slash) come out with the rest of the cast to sing in the background.

Yeah, and everytime I see Axl at that particular moment, I got tears coming up. Man, he looks so fuckin' happy. Big grin on his face, eyes up, he's laughing out loud ...

He looks like a kid in a fuckin' candy store.

That's one of the best concert EVER.
GNR kicked ass, and also Georges Michael on "Somebody to Love", he is an immense artist.
Great, great concert.
