Okay.

Right.

So, I just did a zero tolerance thing.

Discussion, no requests?

Get it? Got it? Good.  :)

It sounds much, much crisper than the one with vocals. I think people who disliked it will be pleased. Its shows that these songs just need to be mixed better. thx : ok:

Title: Re: TWAT Instrumental discussion

I read the original thread before it got deleted at the OTHER forum, and apparently all mandersen66 ever had was IRS, Better, TWAT with vocals and and the instrumentals to go with them. ?I think the extended TWAT was also listed. ?Makes me wonder where CITR came from.

You can hear a cool guitar in the background i never heard before, I guess the vocals wre over most of it. I think its Finck.

How about releasing a collectors edition with a bonus disc of instrumental tracks?

How's that for middle ground?

That would be real cool for the guitar players out there. Not having the vocals in the way to learn the song. Id probrally take me weeks though to try to even fake Buckets solos!

mandersens uploading the short version too. i'll keep yall updated when he does..
heres what he posted in another forum.

This is the last of the leaks, from the demo. I dont think there will be anymore after this, the demo I have has 8 tracks in this order

1.IRS 4:16
2.IRS (instrumental) 4:13
3.TWAT 6:43
4.TWAT (instrumental) 6:42
5.TWAT 6:02
6.TWAT (instrumental) 5:58
7.BETTER 5:06
8.Better (instrumental) 5:01

Or manderson could just rip the track with vocals at better quality than 128 kbs.

I think TWAT is a fraud I think someone just lifted the vocals. You can hear the faint chorus and axl around the 5.40 mark til the end of the song esp around the six min mark

No. You're mistaken the Robin's guitar solo (like I said before, he repeat the same licks from the chorus) with Axl's vocals.

Also, you can't do that without any damage to the drums and/or the guitar solos.

Yeah.. But I can recognize Robin's licks (I didn't before because of the backing vocals and Axl). I'm 100% sure it's just Robin playing the chorus licks again along with Bucket's solo.

Title: Re: TWAT Instrumental discussion
Post by: axe on March 13, 2006, 07:32:28 PM
I don't care one bit if it's "a fraud" or not. Somebody gave us a better version of my favorite leak to make the song's musical background clearer and better sounding. Of course, that wouldn't be possible from the leak we got earlier, so then someone has gone through the trouble of taking Axl out of the original leak source - which, by the way, would be quite stupid because what the fuck would anybody win by making full demos into instrumental ones?

We just need a demo of this quality with Axl singing.

I am hoping people are beginning to realize why Robin Finck is involved!!  The guy is a first class guitar player!  This is why NIN, Perry Farrell, and GNR all covet his services!!  He has a very rhythmic, unique, might I say, slashing guitar style.  The guy has such a great vibe, and a total rock star groove!!  This really showcases his work.  I have it on good word, that Robin is doing most of the work on this stuff!!  Even the faster parts!

Maybe 243 people PM'd him for a link. :P In which case, that could be a record :).

This one doesn't interest me the way the IRS instrumental did. I don't hear much new in this. I'm more excited to hear some finished versions, or some new tracks, but I don't think we'll be getting any new tracks, unless someone wants to organize a trade summit

Damn just heard the TWAT instrumental and damn there is so much going on in this song that you cant hear in the vocal demo.
#1- a ton of piano work
#2- very well mixed
#3- could pittman actually be working the synth in this song?

All I have to say is I think once we finally hear Chinese it will blow all the demos out of the water. TWAT will be a masterpiece!

Well...Actually, yeah, pretty much.

The fact that you shared what you were lucky enough to get hold of does not mean that you don't crave attention, it just shows that you're not a prick. But, hey, if you can't recognise 'is 243 pm's a lot?', posted in a thread where it bears no relevance I hasten to add, as a form of attention seeking, then I guess we share a difference of opinion, wouldn't you say?..

No attack on my part, no nazi moderating here,

but I do find it pretty funny.  : ok:

'Is 243 pm's a lot...',

in answer to your question, yes! It is, actually, seeing as you mention it.

Though, is it something to be proud of? No, not really. It actually isn't something even worth mentioning. Unless, of course, it means a lot to the person mentioning it...See where I'm comming from now, brother?

But, seriously, well done. Thank you, friend.

I missed the IRS and TWAT instrumentals, but I loved Better without the vocals. I'm guessing TWAT is much the same.
