Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I work at a halfway house. I work the night shift. Basicly, all I have to do is give out meds in the moring, and tidy up the house a bit. For 9 out of 10 hours on my shift, I sit on my ass and watch TV (Threes Company, Cheers) or use the internet.

A halfway house?  What type of people live there?

Guess people that have had some bad luck and need a roof over their head temporarily? Am I close?

I would have guessed that too, except for the giving meds part.

I'm unemployed. And I think that's funny.

I am a school teacher. 

I work at a halfway house for the mentally ill. I think Axl might have been here now if he hadn't made it as a rockstar.

I hate this. What I do is sit by an computer and feed the info from agreements to get peoples cell-phone subscription open.

I also sell magazines over the phone, since I can't bear doing this first job 5 days a week.

I hope I'll find something else.

I work in Telesales, with the commision i have been earning over the past 4 months, i am on 24k a year.

Did many things in my life, right now, help my baby's father on a huge project of his. A creation, or " invention". Anyway.

I'm thinking of leaving him and france all together to go and study Egyptology and ancient languages at Berkeley. A wild wild wild thought that's itching me more and more. Am looking at the french in San Francisco. 40.000 of them.

But anyway, yeah, did acting, singing ( would love to continue singing but 30 is apparently the equivalent of tainted meat for women ?), i write too but don't like to be pushed nor by time nor by creative deadlines,i did PA ( personal assistant), nanny, errm, oh yeah, waitress too, errrm, i did facial model, OH and I was a stunt woman once too...ermmm...

What do i do now ?

Trying to find something that doesn't bore me to tears...????

I work at an assembly-line  ;D Placing cover pieces to some calendars. Nice. Doing that 8-9 hours every day drives you crazy  :yes: Thank god it will be over in two weeks! Then I'll go back to school normally.

It's actually quite good cos its only part time while I'm at uni, I earn ?5.44 an hour and while I'm there we get to scive a lot 'cos there are no managers outside, hard physical work when it's busy tho, cos the car park is on like a 20' hill.

I work for a Commercial Fitness Equipment company.

I am the service manager for 2 stores and run the retail end part of the time.

When things are slow I come to post here. 

I`ve sold $15,000 so far this week, so I`m getting in my goof off time this afternoon!

I am unemployable? 8)

I am over-qualified for many jobs in my small town, so they won't employ me.

I don't have enough experience for good jobs in the cities.

Sometimes it really pisses me off, I want a job to earn some money - but I suppose I have a lot of free time so its not that bad? :beer:

They are all being hired in India.

We test metals for defects before it can cause a failure. We have inspected parts off of the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle Main Rockets, Sports Stadiums, Airplanes, Boats, Race Cars. We test them by either X-Ray, Ultrasound, or a few other methods that I wont bore you with.

So basically I'm the guy that makes sure your plane is safe so dont piss me off ;)

I'm a glorified babysitter ;D...I'm a Systems Manager for a Taxi company and it is pretty boring actually...I sit in front of two huge monitors, one is for GPS tracking and zone management..I can see where everyone is at any given time, how fast the are travelling, in service with a customer, running a credit or debit card...picking their nose...hehehe, I lied about the last one but you get my drift...sort of a 'big brother' is watching type of thing...the other is for management of customers, calls, bookings for groups, schools etc...playing alot of FreeCell and other downloadable games ::),deauthorizing vehicles..basically making sure everyone is doing their job, the computer problems that crop up from time to time, overseeing the servers...blah blah blah...I also drive taxi part time for extra $$...the usual, bitchy women, men trying to pick me up...loads and loads of drunks, the occasional pyschopath...that is pretty much it in a nutshell ;)

Unemployment?  I say funemployment!

Anyways, I'm a journalism student at a small liberal arts school in Boston.  I also sling coffee for Boston's business folk at a branch of Starbucks.  In my spare time, I collect autographs and sell sports memorabilia online, and play in a band.  We're trying to form our own indie label.  I'll believe it when I see it.

i won't bore anyone with details of my full time job, but i work part time at a crematory.

my buddy works there full time, and these days i just do it on an as-needed basis. so about once or twice a month i'll help him out. it can be depressing at times cause usually we go to someone's house to pick up the body.

but it's an interesting process and interesting career.

Few months back i got a really good part-time job, mainly for summer work when i am not at university.  I work for a company called Rocksteady a security firm, i work the home matches for Burnley Football Club, worked at the Grand National at Aintree and this summer will be working R.E.M, Elton John, Queen, Oasis & U2 gigs.  I will also be working the cricket at Old Trafford along with a few other sporting things like marathons and some truck fests.

I shake lots of hands and talk to people.

Sometimes I smile too.

I would if you were mentaly disabled , but i don't think you are  ;) anyway its hard work, explaning myself over and over again. But i love the job. These people are very greatfull and when they get to know you , they really love you.

Ahhh, much has changed in the past year.  I'm now in Texas, having graduated from college.  As you can see by my signature, I am the announcer for a junior hockey team here-- an unpaid position, but it's what I want to do as a career eventually.  I also have a regular paying part-time job as a board operator for an AM radio station here in Wichita Falls.  I was actually on the morning show for a few words earlier this morning.  Waking up at 4 am = not fun.  Fortunately, today is one of the few days I have to do it.

I'm still sort of in the band from about 1600 miles away.  If I move back up to Boston, I'm rejoining.  I was their drummer, but most likely will play rhythm guitar if/when I go back.

I'm a Pastry Chef at a country club.  I love it. 

Could you mail me a pineapple danish? Those are impossible to find here.

I'm a Business Commerce work term student.  I get paid, though so it's awesome.  I work for a co-operative society that is mainly focussed in serving its members with groceries, gasoline, and general merchandise.  My job is to go through minutes of meetings of the board of directors and general manager of the society and compile a booklet of policies and procedures of the board of directors.  I also had to ensure that the policies were up to par with legislation and regulations, as well as those presented by our regional parent co-operative.  But, over the past week, I've pretty much spent my day on HTGTH!  ;D

For the past couple of years I have been working at a nice little record shop, Sunrise Records. don't get paid much but the work isn't that bad and i get heads up on all new release (still waiting for news about Gn'R) and well i get the perks of working at a record store. free shirts, free cd's/dvd's, free concert tickets (saw the sounds on sunday) and when i'm not doing that i can be found playing bass with my band. No Left Turns!

I'm a Network Engineer.  I run the I.T. Department for a company of about 30 employees.  In addition, I do private consulting for National clients... mostly on the network side of things - alot of it is security stuff.  Also, I occasionally dabble in video / audio production work for a friend of mine.  (Some voice-over stuff and the like)

I get good perks and it's pretty interesting, but am thinking of doing more acting again and less "office" stuff. hopefully!!
