My recreation of Slash?s conversation at Axl's house.

Slash: Rings the doorbell.
Axl: Who is it?
Slash: It?s Slash
Axl: What do you want?
Slash;? We need to talk.
Axl: Ok come on in, what is on your mind?
Slash;? Scott is a fucking fraud and Duff is spineless!
Axl: Why is that?
Slash; Scott wants the next VR album to be a dance concept album and Duff is too much of a pussy to go against him, so I want out.
Axl: Well since Buckethead quit the band, I need a new guitarist, you should rejoin gnr
Slash; Well let me hear what you are working on.
Axl: Here they are.
Slash; Wow they are really good, fuck Scott and duff, I should just drop the lawsuit and rejoin gnr. Plus I have always hated that pedophile matt.
Slash: So when do you plan on release the album?
Axl: The end of march.
Slash: Oh that is great.
Axl: Ok keep in touch.
Slash: Later Axl.
Axl: Well that is a good idea. Go back to Scott and Duff and tell them? you quit.
Slash: Ok will do, and sorry for all the bullshit.
Axl: No problem.


This is where the rumors came from that slash was gonna rejoin gnr and where slash got the march date from, he got it from axl at his house.

But something happened, maybe slash changed his mind and called back Axl and said nevermind and that pissed off axl.

maybe slash went back and told scott that he was rejoining GNR and thats why scott went on a rant at axl.

First thing, the march statement from Slash could have come from anywhere. Maybe Halfin heard it from someone, or someone at the label told Slash,etc.

Second, the Slash is back thing came from a couple of "fake insiders". Didn't I prove that awhile back?

I'm not discounting your "recreation" entirely, but if it occured, I think more was discussed besides what Axl mentioned, and I think they had prior contact besides just the 5:30 am bitchfest from Slash. There's no way he would spill his guts like that after not seeing him for 10 years.

Isnt there an Izzy interview where he claims Axl was recording their conversations? It certainly doesnt sound outside the realms of possibility for someone so paranoid

But Slash aint stupid. Theres no way he'd just rock up out of the blue and start dissing his band. It either didnt happen at all or Axl has acted like a bitch, translating a private convo out of context in a media release

It would explain where the reunion (even if its not a full reunion) talk came from with Halfin etc and why nothing of this has been denied. Far fetched but I wouldn't rule anything out.

I think jimmythegent hit the nail on the head.  Unless Axl is lying or taking things incredibly out of context or stretching them, the conversation SHOULD?VE been something like what Dave just posted. Which of course, is out of the question...How surreal can you get?
To tell you the truth, in my opinion, if Slash or Axl ever decide to speak again, they would probably arrange something beforehand or would take baby steps just to avoid screwing things up for another 10 years.  They wouldn?t pop in at 5 in the morning.

If memory serves me correctly, it was Ross Halfin who started the rumours of a Slash return when he decided to post that the original GNR would play Donnington this year. Well, Guns are playing Donnington this year but it is not the original band. As for Slash, who knows, until we hear from the man himself no one should really comment. I don't know what's going on with Velvet Revolver, do you..? Sure, they are suposedly going back into the studio in April but time will tell...

 The "fake insiders" comments preceded the Halfin statement.

Maybe this "slash" is really Izzy in a Slash disguise trying to mess up the future of Gn'R and Velvet Revolver because he's jealous of all the sucuess everyone from Gn'R is having (well except Steven).  I think I'd put money on it... stranger things have happened.. well at least in the Gn'R world :hihi:

the 'dance' sound Sorum was referring to was in reference to letting things swing a bit more, perhaps a bit more groove and bottom end. Superhuman was used as an example at one point

think Slash on 'Live era' RQ saying "c'mon, you can dance to this shit"
RQ is a good example, quite a funky groove - they don't mean like techno, or drum n' bass  ::)
