-- AXL ROSE will be bringing Guns N? Roses to the UK to play a headline set at this year?s Download festival. Just like Metallica, the festival?s other confirmed headliners, GN?R?s performance at the three-day event, which takes place at Donington Park on June 9, 10 and 11, will be the band?s only UK show in 2006. The last time GN'R hit the stage at Donington was in 1988, following the release of Appetite for Destruction. This year, Rose and his bandmates will be showcasing new songs from the long-awaited Chinese Democracy album, which has been in the works for over a decade. -- Better get my ticket for download then!! They have been trying to get guns at Nijmegen... Maybe Gnr will book some more dates maybe they wont but dont say never.

But Tool and Metallica's name was in the advert... Are you sure? I saw an advert for Downlaod in yesterday's Evening Standard (lite) which included the new G N' R Logo. Looks like I'll have to take a trip to Paris or Dublin this summer. even though Downlaod has some quite stellar acts headlining, I just can't be arsed with going to festivals. Or, we could all hope that Axl returns to the UK some time before he goes into hibernation again.
