problably you already read all kinds of opinions to these leaked demos... and of course, since 2001, you saw the reaction of the fans with Madagascar, Blues, CD, Rhyad, Silkworms in shows and over the internet...

MOST of the fans ( including me ) have those songs in our computers, but the botton line, what we always tried to do with these songs was showing to all of the Axl?s haters and to those people that thou that Axl couldn?t do music anymore, those people that always said and wrote SHIT about GNR and, since 1997, are saying that "Axl and his new band is a JOKE and he is HUMILIATING the GNR name", all we are trying to do downloading these songs (old and new leaked demos) is to show to these fuckers that they are actualy wrong, that the GNR are alive and that?s the only and godamn prove of it.

Before you say that the fans that are downloading these leaked songs ( and possible the studio versions in the future without the album?s release ) are not a "real fan" for downloading the songs, try to understand that we are doing this, all this fucking love for a band, above all the records label, menagements, lawsuits and shit, that we are happy just to show to all the people that said shit about Axl and GNR that they are alive and making music.

It's pretty obvious that people involved with the band read the board.

It's a great source for feedback. Musically, the band may operate seperate, but one's gotta think that they do care about the fans and want to gauge reaction.

Axl could be a regular on this site...maybe even registered.

If he does, its a smart move on his behalf to remain anonymous so that he doesn't get bombarded with a load of crap.

I agree with your assessment, I think they do use it, I just wish they could gauge the fact that we as die hard fans just want some answers, not to be left in the dark so much.

You never know if Axl could be lurking among us. We know he's had some free time for the past decade! Hopefully that will change with the release of the new album along with the summer european shows.

But ehh... Give us some info and a real working website. Something to hold on till the dates start up and CD is in stores.

I really don't know why people are pissed off at mysteron. The guy doesn't have to say anything. And he at least gives people a little info. A vague answer is better than none, which you would have otherwise. And from what I can tell he just gives a simple answer without explaining anything... which he doesn't have to at all.

Awesome! That's a very cool answer.  If the album wasn't near completion, I really don't think he would answer, or if he did, it wouldn't have answered with that kind of assurance that it WAS coming out.  I dunno, I think that's just a very encouraging thing  : ok:

What is with people associated with Gn'R constantly using the  word "haters". It sounds pretty silly coming from middle -aged white men. And who exactly are these haters. Is there some vast conspiracy against Gn'R? I must be getting old.

Merck obviously DOES read here, especially lots of SkynyrdGirl's postings ;)

I thnk it is quite obvious that the leaks were deliberate from either Axl himself or  management. Think about it: the best of all worlds:
if the demos get a shitty reception, they are passed off as "only demos" and unauthorized.
if they are embraced and widely praised, the songs create  a positive  buzz in front of the upcoming performances.
Either way, Axl wins.
And as was mentioned before, it is very curious that Axl's reported favs were the one's released.

The real question is whether the four leaks are the cream of the crop and the remainer of the album is of Rhiad quality.

yeah, you?re problably right thinking this way, but don?t forget that when you hear the finished versions in the first GNR show upcoming, you too will hear the songs and keep asking to yourself "where?s the BH part? nah, Fick is not doing the solo like in the demo... this part is better in the demo... woww Richad didn?t recorded this part in the demo... wait, that?s weird, where?s that guitar part" ... you know? people will compare the versions

so I?m not 100% confident anymore that the leaks are from GNR camp, couse Axl can lose doing that... 50% / 50%
