Probably the same minus Buckethead. But who knows. Title: Re: the new GnR Post by: RichardNixon on March 06, 2006, 10:29:00 AM Same as in '02 w/o BH. No reason to think otherwise.
Title: Re: the new GnR Post by: A Private Eye on March 06, 2006, 11:03:23 AM We also know Dizzy will definately be there, cos it says he won't be able to make all the Hookers and Blow shows.
Title: Re: the new GnR Post by: GnR-NOW on March 06, 2006, 11:21:38 AM I think we all want to know what Tommy is goign to do, because SA got some dates that may conflict with the GNR tour. I mean GNR is much bigger then SA, but there might be alittle more stability in SA, I dont know. So hopefully we'll get something from tommy soon. When he said there maybe some news on the GNR front soon, could he have been refering to the tour dates?
Title: Re: the new GnR Post by: Mikkamakka on March 06, 2006, 12:11:21 PM Same as in '02 w/o BH. No reason to think otherwise. Nobody knew in 2002 that Paul had left/had been fired. And we don't know if Axl found another guitarist to replace BH or BH came back. Title: Re: the new GnR Post by: JDA on March 06, 2006, 02:22:58 PM For some reason I have a feeling that Brain won't be coming back. He hasn't seemed that interested from past comments.

Also, have people been speculating over the setlist on the forum yet? The classics were great in 2002 - starting off with Welcome to the Jungle and ending with Paradise City was the way it should be - but do fans want the same, predictable thing again, with all the standards left in and the new tracks just replaced by new new tracks? If they do something too similar to last time it will lose the impact it had before, especially without Buckethead, and I think they need to come up with a reasonably fresh approach and give us a few surprises along the way. Four years is too long to come back with essentially the same show and if they want the general public to take CD seriously they have to put faith in the new songs at these shows. Title: Re: the new GnR Post by: CAFC Nick on March 06, 2006, 03:39:46 PM I think starting off with WTTJ is a must. Just to get the crowd going to begin with. If they start off with a new song that doesn't get a good reception they may not have the crowd shouting for more.
