Anybody here think that maybee Axl played a little guitar on some of the demos?

no. to sing like axl does and to play guitar even rythem GNR. that is to hard. axl needs to be axl on stage. i dont think he will play guitar unless it is a slow song like maybe november rain.

Axl's one talented guy...but playing piano and guitar at the same time's kinda hard to do.   :rofl:

oh hell yeah. axl is GNR at the moment. he knows how the songs should sound cause there in his head. im guessing he is comeing up with alot of the rythem. he knows how he wants it and he will write it that way.

Unless by "Guitar" you mean a hot 25 year-old stripper, no, I don't see it.   ;D

but yeah, he is talented and he did play guitar in Madagascar on their 2002 tour and rock in rio.

Hmm.... so it appears we still have optimists and pessimists.
Before:
Some people said the album would come out and be AMAZING. Others said it would simply never come out.
Now:
Some are disappointed with the new material and some are psyched.

Basically, it's the same thing but different arguments.


However, we have two different arguments going on: Some discuss how we (fans) will like the album and others regard the general public. 
Personally, I hope that I'll love the album, but it'd be nice for the general public to love it with me.

he did play on dead horse and he said I don't know how to play this fucking thing.  Maybe that would explain the guitar on IRS if he did play it

AXl looked like a complete bafoon playing guitar at the Rock in Rio festival :no:, he looked liked he had only been playing for about 3 weeks :no:...I am normally a big Axl supporter, but he has way too many "yes" :yes: men around, someone should have told him he looked like an idiot during rehearsals. His guitar look like it wasn't even plugged in, although, he could have been using a wireless connection. Absolutely no way he's playing on these demos, unless he is so far down in the mix you can't here him, the guy can't play more than some basic power chords and from the looks of the video, he can't do that without looking like a girl. Axl please never pick up the guitar on stage again. I was embarrassed for him, and the band looked embarrassed as well.

Axl with a guitar ar RIR3 doddnt look right. Maybe the last 3 years he has gotten better. As far as writing songs, perhaps one of the biggest reasons for AXL TO LEARN TO PLAY IS TO HELP WITH GETTING HIS IDEAS ACROSS ON AN INSTRUMENT OTHER THAN THE PIANO. Damn caps lock, not gonna type all that out again, my apologies.

The crowd there loved it.

I wasn't even in Rio, just watching the show on tape made me feel uncomfortable seeing Axl armed with a guitar. Didn't he hand the guitar back to a roadie some seconds later  :hihi:

he played rythm on shotgun blues in the studio, so why not do some minor parts here and there?

On madagasgar I'm pretty sure he hit 3 notes.
