Just to add a little fuel to the announcement rumors, do you think we might get an announcement on March 15th?? Hell, is Ides of March still a song possibility?? And with suspicion of Axls love of numerology and sequential timing, could this possibly be a viable date?? Discuss.

sounds as unlikely as Axl making an announcment on the 25th anniversary of Lennons death last year, which some suggested was tied in with Catcher of The Rye somehow

March 15th won't work because it falls on a Wednesday.? New music is released on Tuesdays here in the USA.

PLUS ... I thought me, you and ppbebe already agreed that if Axl doesn't use my suggestion of 666, June 6th, that he would use ppbebe's suggestion of Pi Day, March 14th/Albert Einsteins's bday ... both of which fall on a New Music Tuesday.  :yes:

i really doubt they would publicize the date as 666, even if it was the release date.

I guess it would create controversy/publicity, but it's too '80s and might offend some fans (especially in the americas)

June 6th is D-Day from WWII. So they could advertise it as D-Day for Democracy or something like that. I don't know, just the first thing that came to my mind.

That's just bullshit... The album will come out when it'll come out. It doens't have to bind any _more_ mystery around it.

I don't know if Axl loves numerology but we all know he'd wear jerseys with some numbers on.
Most of the time they include 8 or are the numerological 8. eg 4+4, 2+6 etc.

I've been away for a couple of days so I just want to clarify that I was mentioning March 15th (Ides of March) as a possible day of announcement, not a release date.  I think 6/6/06 would be MY strong favorite for a release date.  6/6/6 would bring alot of controversy.  Something that GNR is good at. : ok:
