O.k earlier today, and many times before, i type GNR into Google, check latest news etc, now, i look at the total hits which is usually 4-5 million, i just looked now and its 17 million! Yahoo has 10 million Hits!

Geez the payoff is far greater........

uhm, first type in what you're looking for (guns n roses), press enter and you can see at the top of the page how many hits have come up, under search button.

interesting, I thought that was the total amount of items found containing the phrase "guns n' roses," not the amount of times in a 24 hour period that people have searched for the phrase.

It's the number of web pages, not the number of hits, and there is only 3.92m

oh, I must have misunderstood you Minneapolis. Sorry. I'm pretty sure you're right, those hits are not the amount of times someone typed guns n'roses in google, but the number of times the name pops up in articles and webpages etc. I thought we were talking about the amount of publicity gnr got which has increased in these couple of days (weeks? lost track of time).
What we've got here is a failure to communicate.... : ok:
