Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I'm kinda getting tired of all this speculation on what's going on with the band and everyone seems to have a very different opinion on what has been said by the band and management about the album, tour, etc.  It seems that the only person that has any clue what is planned for the band is Axl, so why don't we compile everything that Axl has said (with quotes and references) in the hope that we clear up the (IMO) misconceptions about the release of the album.

Some info you might want:

1)You'll have C.D sometime within the next 4 months.
2)Tour dates have been announced and more are being scheduled.
3)The leaked demos you do have were from 3 or more years ago.
4)Slash is not coming back to the band.
5)Axl Rose likes sports cars
6)Axl does not like leaked tracks.

These are the exact things that I don't want...
Axl has never said any of this stuff.  Things like You'll have CD in the next 4 months are often attributed to Axl and the media especially loves to say that Axl has been promising CD for years and I'm pretty sure the last time he gave a release date was before 1999 (I could be wrong though).

Yep, about the same time there was an original album released by GNR. Coincidence? I think not.

I definately read a quote on this board either yesterday or the day before from Merck saying something very similar to 'Axl hopes to have the album out by the end of the year' IIRC it seemed reasonably official. Sorry there's no link I can't find the thread now.

That's the problem with most of these rumors.  Someone says they heard Merck say this or Dizzy said that and they assume that is the band's official position.  I don't trust Merck at all, because it's his job to deflect attention off of Axl till the album is ready and he'll do what he has to so that he can do that.  But at least he's not as bad as whatever his name is that booked the European tour without Axl knowing.  The only useful information that we have right now is that they are playing dates (which we don't really have 100% confirmed by a press release) and a couple comments from Axl that Jarmo basically summed up.  That's it as far as I can tell.  Even if we look at what Sanctuary has said officially, there isn't much there.

I agree but as I only read this a day or 2 ago and is 'supposedly' from Axls manager I thought I'd post it, but it did seem like an official quote. Anybody else see this?
