So, ich denke dass etwas l?ngere Warten hat sich gelohnt. Das Novarock Festival hat nun seine Mainstage-Headliner komplett und man kann ohne Zweifel behaupten dass das Programm nun schon ziemlich fett ist.

KORN musste leider aus Reisetechnischen Gr?nden ihren Novarock Auftritt absagen. Aber als Ersatz daf?r wird es am 28. Juni eine Veranstaltung unter dem Namen

NOVAROCK ENCORE

in der Stadthalle in Wien geben. Und das Lineup dieses ?Mini-Festivals? kann sich ebenfalls sehen lassen da wir dieses mit einer Band erweitert haben welche f?r Novarock leider nicht Verf?gbar war. Hier das Lineup:

F?r diese Veranstaltung wird es ein Kombiticket NOVAROCK und NOVAROCK ENCORE geben. Mehr dazu in den Ticketinfos. Dieses Novarock Kombiticket wird es allerdings nur bei www.musicticket.at in einer limitierten Auflage von 1000 Stk. geben.

Nur zur Info: Auch ich hab mir einen grossen Wunsch f?r kommenden Sommer erf?llt und hab bereits mit 100%iger Sicherheit mein Konzerthighlight fixiert. Manu Chao kommt zum NUKE FESTIVAL! Mehr ?ber das Nuke Programm auf www.nuke.at.

Thats an odd line-up if it is real...and I would've heard about Avenged Sevenfold doing this if it were true.

Its the biggest Rock Festival in Austria, last year they had also a very good lineup: SOAD Marilyn Manson Green Day Audioslave and so on. Last year it was a 4 days Festival.
I don't think they would write lie on their website.

Well if this is for real more festivals are bound to be in the pipeline so...

Maynard from Toll did sing with AIC in the Tsunami Relief, but Toll will be playing in the festival too, so I believe that is very unlikely that Maynard will be singing in both bands you know

The Nova Rock Festival, also just Nova Rock, is a music festival that took place from Thursday, the 9th, till Sunday, the 12th of June 2005. 2006 it will take place from Thursday, June, 15th to Saturday, June, 17th on the Pannonia Fields II (which means that 2006 it will be at a new, better, location than last year).

It took place on the Pannonia Fields in Burgenland, the easternmost federal state of Austria, near Nickelsdorf (hu: Hegyeshalom) and the Hungarian and Slovak borders. It is organized by Nova Music Entertainment, which is a cooperation of Musicnet, FKP Scorpio and several former emplooyees/bookers of Wiesen, who left Wiesen in 2004 after ongoing internal misunderstandings.

It can take a few weeks for things to be "official".  Dotting the I's and Crossing the T's, you know?  I've seen shows online before coming to my area, and when I called the radio station to ask about them, the only cool dj we have would say "I can tell you next week", implying to me that "Yes, they're coming, but No, it isnt official yet-so I cant say anything".  Thats just how things work in the touring industry.

Good one indeed. Let's hope some spanish dates are announced soon. Austria is a bit far away.....

Just to clear things up, it is still me doing this newsletter, and I'm doing that for about 4 years now. I'm a fan just like all of you, but I always try to assure that what I write in the newsletter is legit.

So to my understanding that date is official. Nova Rock is quite a big festival and they have no reason to announce a band when they are not sure if the band shows up. You know, like everything in the GN'R world, things can change. We've been through that a thousand times. But as of now, that date is confirmed.

And concerning Rock Am Ring - the info is legit. It's just that the organisers don't want to announce it right now because GN'R cancelled this gig numerous times. They wre announced in 2001 and cancelled close before the date. And in 2004 they were supposed to play, but they cancelled as well (in 2004 already the organisers did not officially announce it because they were aware of the danger).

I think we will get more dates pretty soon. We just have to pray that nobody pulls the plug on it again.

I think unless they really need a third guitar player, that Robin and Richard will be the guitar players for GNR.  Sure, it was nice to have a virtuoso shredder like Buckethead on board, but I dont think he was really needed.

The logo is good, but it's probably the work of those who worked on the ad. I'm sure no one from the GNR camp had anything to do with it.

These logos are sent from the management or the person between the manager and the promoter that makes the deal.

They make the deal and then they send riders, logos or pics for the posters etc etc.

So it's most likely official, at least for the festivals...
